Often thought of as a VW, and snubbed by some Porsche enthusisasts, the 914-6 GT is perhaps the most fun car to drive in this class. The "GT" specification separated it from its road going version. However, Porsche never really sold any true 914-6 GTs, rather, they offered customers a GT kit, which contained all the necessary parts to convert the 914-6 to meet various GT and sportscar specifications around the world. Light weight, mid-engined, the 914-6 had a very low center of gravity and sporty suspension. The -6 designation referred to the upgraded 911 2.5 Litre flat 6 instead of the 4 cylinder found in stock road going 914s. It goes where you point it, but watch out for a slight lift off oversteer. The underpowered flat 6 means you need to keep the revs up, so don't get too sloppy with your lines through corners. - Jerry Chen
