Dubai 330k (G2/G3)

No no no no no!!!

Took pole and lead from the start. Milan and I were very close on time but I managed to eek the gap out to about 4.5 seconds after 15 laps. Then I made a mistake when someone had taken a brake marker out 3 turns before the end of the lap. I went very wide and Milan was on 1 second behind me. I had hard rears but the hot temps were taking there toll and Milan was quicker that this point. There was no way past though and the gap stayed at around 8 tenths. Then a porsche I was lapping spun infront of me and I went straight into him. Got going again but Milan was now 7 seconds ahead. I made pit stop two laps later which went very well. I did two hot laps afterward and Milan pitted but I managed to get ahead again but only by 2 seconds. I decided to look after my tyres and Milan closed the gap. I expected this but thought it better just let him push while I kept the car from sliding and the tyres in good condition. However 14 mintues from the end of the lap I got a disco!!!!

Damn my motivation is low at the moment. The last 2 races I have done have been dnfs and I was leading them at the time. Maybe I need to take a break for a while.

Great driving from you Milan, put me under pressure and you drove beautifully. The last quarter of that race was going to be great fun!

alright thats ridiculous. 3minutes left in the race and my connection starts lagging, then a minute left i lose connection. i must say im really mad about that, cause now i have dnf

Seat was better to drive than what I anticipated. Needs to be driven differently, I guess. I still cannot understand how fast Pete is with these. Must be an old thing. :P

My first outing in GTR2, and it showed! After about three laps was looking forward to a good race with the backmarkers, when I got a case of the spins. One spin in front of John, the leader, sorry John, I feel like a putz for that.

Finally, after my pitstop I settled down for the 2nd half of the race and just put my laps in. Good fun, but disappointing results. Ah well, on to Valencia. Congrats to Milan and great racing to everyone!

had a good start, and was having a nice fun race and then i pitted.

stupid me or stupid ai, either way i left with not enough fuel, and had to pit with 15 min left. went from 12th to last. ouch.

still, for as bad as i felt, it was pretty a good run. the g3 cars are my fave anyway.

good race to everyone involved, nice clean racing. i had a lot of good side by side early on. way fun.

Im really surprised when he disappeared ahead of me. And as John said that will be probably a great finish. I really pushed hard after my stop to catch John. Who knows what will happen till the end depend of my tyre lasting because of hot temperature in Dubai :).

Hmmmm... Once again cold tires and brakes catch me out on the first lap. I went off in turn 2 and lost 4 positions. It's just as well. I didn't have the race pace of most of the G2 cars behind me on the grid anyway. 5th place is something of a gift.

Congrats to Milan and Conor for the wins and to all the other podium finishers. Hope to see you all at Valencia.

2nd in class, top 10 overall, not too shabby. I got knocked off of the grid as the lights went green by an over-anxious driver behind me, guess he didn't know there was a formation lap. So started off right away with damage. Had a good scrap with Vedran until we got together and I was able to gather it up quicker and motor on. (Vedran, even if you think you were at fault, never let the other guy just drive away, wait to see if the stewards tell you to do that if it's warranted) Made it halfway and had anawesome pitstop, and came away with 30+ secs ahead of 3rd. At the end, I didn't have enough fuel, and just short shifted and went easy while watching the splits, making sure I would finish just barely ahead of Vedran. 1st podium of S4 for me, figures I'd have to wait until the end of the season.
