Grand Prix de Monaco

Hit by Junior goin into T1 on lap 1 ruined my race, lost front wing and damage to left rear that made the car ovrsteer in at unexpected times. Nice one!

Car was fast enough to win, driver was too fast. Got messed up coming round to lap Allen and took a very shallow line into swimming pool which put me onto the yellow block and chucked me towards the wall. Lost part of the rear wing, 135 seconds for damage. Decided I could still win but would have to be awesomely quick. Had made up a decent amount of time and had unlapped myself but slid off and lost the front wing, 14 seconds. Decided would try making it to the end of the race on full fuel so drove more conservatively, slid off lost front wing, 35 seconds. Shame as I had quite a good rythm going, just couldn't get back what I'd lost. Good win Al.

Crazy race! Got some early rear wing damage going into T-1 but I knew this was part of this race in this tight track, too close too fast! :D

I made a super clean start myself and went from P-7 to P-4, which I managed to keep for 7 laps when I noticed that I didn't have enough fuel... Duh! Parc-Ferme caught me again... At that point decided to change my strategy, so I said, let's do it in 2 more stops! Yeah right!!!... I was on my own pace, cruising around, I was so slow that I could watch the babes at the "Red Bull" swimming pool! I did my best to let all the leaders by at the safest place, but I had a couple of spins that could have ended in disaster... Later in the race I found myself in 5th. place, a position that I kept for most of the race... There were a few scary moments with Allen when he tried to unlap himself and made some moves that almost put both of us into the wall, but I understood his frustration, unfortunately he found the same armco barriers I did later in the race and instead of 2 pitstops I ended up making 3 more trips to have my mechanics work and fix the extensive damage... Grueling race, I like endurance races and I never get this tired, but trying to stay focus and not hit the tires at over 150 MPH is a tough job! :D

I was so tired at the end, that I needed to refresh myself with cold one!

Intence track to say the least ,i can see why the real drivers of the world praise champions of this track .

Ive raced here before and know all to well about bouncing off the tires/walls/gard rails/tunnle walls ectt..lol
Knowing this i tryed to stay as clean as i could and it takes all your concentration,all of it ! as i soon found out .. after 3 or 4 laps I setteled into a great rythem until my 12 year old doughter and her friends with one mom came to see our 3 week old kittens that happend to be in the same room .. the noise level of these girls was more that any human should have to indoure .. (wishing i had the headphones on at this point) then finaly at the end of sector 3 just before the pit in i lost it and found myself upsidedown for what seemed like forever ..lol 95 sec's of repair put me back but i was in next to last position ..
I fought hard to get back some time and found myself in 7th with still one stop to go .. I saw Omar up ahead but could not close the gap in time before laps ran out .. then when he pitted i gained 2 spots to finish 5th ! amazing race ..

Grats Al !! to win at this track is somthing to be proud of !! gj!!
