Donington 330k (G2/G3)

Engine meltdown some 10 minutes left of the race from 7th spot. My first one after I started at TM.net. About time. :)

That was a pritty good race for me :)
qualied 2nd only a hundreth off conor but couldnt keep up with him in the race and Tim got by me after about 5 laps.. and then my tyres melted and i was cruising around until my fuel ran out and i must have really screwed my pitstop up because i came out 8 secs behind Tim. But i managed to hunt him down and made a pass on the last lap :D

really sorry for all the wrarping me and scott had... but blame our sister.

Well that sucked arse.

The Morgan handled awfully compared to my offline practice... ended up over a second off the race pace I was expecting, and really had nothing for the "big boys" who can't stop choosing the best car...

I would be pretty happy with 6th place if I didn't know that it would kill my ranking... last time I try something adventurous unless Tim installs a rank multiplier for slower cars... it's just not worth it.

Next time I'll just pound you all with the BMW and take a podium in this spec racer series...

What, the whole 5 point I got for a lousy 6th place? Who gives? :P

Also, Kent has switched cars in GT-O GT class and kept his points.

M3GTR is faster then Porka and Seat. Of three Porka has least downforce which I didn't know up until now but certinally felt in race.

Quali wasn't very good, I had at least another 0.5 in my legs, but 4th wasn't bad either, considering I had 3 M3's in front.

Only practice I had in these was 5 or so laps yesterday, which evidently wasn't enough to challenge Pete. Ended up 30 s behind him which was due to me being punted and ringing phone which made me go off 2 times.

In the last third I ws on my way to catch Scot, who was for some reason really slow. I got punted ant that set me back to 17 or so sec behind Scott. As he was drastically slow I caught him up again, but the way I passed him was most exciting. :)

Cheer up young one, who gives a crap about ranks. ;)

Got Pole and made a good steady getaway in the lead, which was 7 seconds at the half way mark. Just deciding when to pit when I lost it big out of t3 and hit the wall. Regained the track 3rd and immediately called for my pit stop. Unfortunately the pit crew just stared at the car for 10 seconds and then decided to go to work. This put in me in 4th after the stops I chased pretty hard, it becasme third due to a pit stop. I got within 1.5 secs of barry in 2nd but he had a little bit in hand and was able to slowly pull away bit by bit. I had settled for third when Barry seemed to have lost in going into the craner curves. So I took his 2nd place. Bad luck Barry you drove well!!!

Congrats to Millan and Conor for their wins.

I have to comment on Tim Carty who in the last quarter of the race seemed to have spun somewhere on the track. I remember on at least 3 occasions I was nearly taken out by him.

He is starting so it's part of the learning process, me thinks.

fun race. i had to pit an extra time, as i miscalculated on gas :(. i was right on kristen's bumper when i had to go in. we had quite a few changes of position throughout the race and it was a lot of fun.

apologies to whoever i rear ended w 20 min to go. you pulled in front and shut it down leaving me no place to go but over you. didn't seem to slow you down much.

all in all it was a fun race for me. my setup was lacking in mid corner grip, i never could get it right, but i did learn a few things. like never trust the fuel numbers.
