Hockenheim 330k (G2/G3)

Comfortable lead and just when I started to think this is way to perfect, something will certainly go wrong... BANG!!!... lost connection.

Sorry for your connection problem. It's not fun and especially to get in when in comfortable lead.

Started not so well by losing some of my wing at grid. Matjaz vanished into horizon and I was followin Steve's Biturbo with Dean behind me. After Matjaz discoed we continued this until pitstops. I started with 100 litres and pitted some laps later that Steve and Dean and decided not to do 5 second repairs for aero and re-joined 3rd spot. Gents in front of me pitted some laps later and I noticed that Seat was leading. This continued until finish with Dean some 10 seconds behind me. Traffic was very pro. And I'm toast.

Fantastic race with John Dixon the entire distance. Got past him once at the half way mark after he made a big bobble but he beat me in pit lane. Had to chase him down and he held me behind the final laps. Great racing John!

Wasn't to sure about the rain, but it did make it fun in the quali session

Not a great one for me.
Was overtaken on the formation lap,then was punted off twice by the same person in the same corner. Obviously I was just too slow in that corner!

Was a great fight Tim. You were much faster than me, but its pretty difficult to overtake here. Damn those last few laps were tense for me. Tires were shattered and you were putting me under so much pressure. Exciting fight and 2nd flatters me today, but I will take it!

Thats really sad Matjaz, unlucky!

I just have to rethink my pitstop strategy.Thought i would need 2 stops and got fuel and 4 tyres at each stop.I was surprised to enter the track after the 2nd stop just behind 4th and 5th but everything went pearshaped after i got a shunt on my outlap.Omar waited but i had to get it turned around and lost a lot of time.Not a good place to wait tho Omar,in the middle of the track,in the middle of a corner,lol.

Pretty fun race. Car handled great, one of the best porkas I have ever driven :). Was hoping for more to show up since about 20 were signed up but that didn't happen :(.

Qual wasn't too good since it was raining. I went with too soft of a wet tire and the track fried it up within a lap. I took 2nd place while Garry in his Elise skated through to take 1st :).

I started off quickly and took 1st away from Garry going into the 2nd turn. From then on, I tried my best to run away from the G3s and because of that, I just hung around with the back of the G2 field. About half way through the stint, I noticed that the fuel mileage was completely wrong so I ended up pitting with 5 min left till half way.

In the final stint, things were a little hairy at times. G2 cars were mixing with G3 cars because of the cycle so it wasn't too comfortable. At one point, a BMW punted another one in the lefthander after the hairpin and one parked himself right in the middle of the road waiting for the other one to get going...I ended up going around both of them and into the grass to avoid collision. Waiting around for someone after a punt is fine and all, but PLEASE, pull off to the side of the track so traffic can get through. I could have easily crashed into one of you guys if I wasn't paying attention. Anyway, the rest of the race was just about cruising and not making a mistake.

I won with a comfortable lead so I pretty pleased with that. The other SoCal guys did well, too. Tim finishing 3rd in G3 and Steve finishing in 4th in G2 and overall. Well done guys :) :).

Bad luck losing the connection, Matjaz. You were surely walking away with the race.

Congrats to Johan and Conor for the wins.

To say I was shocked to land second spot on the grid in qualifying would be an understatement. More shock came when I actually maintained second place at the start and took the lead for several laps after Matjaz lost connection.

It all went out the window after a looooooong pit stop. My driving style hasn't matured to the point where I can take care of the tires so they were cooked a few laps before the scheduled stop. The car was skating around so bad I had no choice but to pit early.

A few laps later John came out of the pits just ahead of me. I had a blast chasing him for many laps. I finally got a pass on him in turn 4 but threw it away with a spin in the slow hairpin. My racing ability hasn't matured either. That was an excellent run, John.
