Anderstorp 330k (G2/G3)

Qualified 3rd...Race was lonely most of the time... I forgot to change tires to "Hard Slick" as the race was shorten on time, but increased in fuel and tire wear...raced with Soft Slicks and by lap 10 tires were worn, lost 1 place to Connor...Good Job m8 !

Pretty fun race despite it being shorter than usual because of the small field but oh well. It was still a bit of a challenge because of 2x fuel and tires.

Grabed the pole with a 1.33 flat which was pretty disappointing. I was probably capable of running a mid to low 32 but got held up on my fastest lap and after that, the tires were too worn to get faster.

When the race started, I immediately pulled away from Tim. I wasn't pushing it all but because the car felt so damn good, it was hard not to be fast! As the tires got worn though, I started to really slow down and when it was time for pit stops, I was really begging for new tires :). During that stop, I opted for less fuel than I originally had but I probably put in too litte. By the end of the race, I was conserving fuel like crazy and in the end, I was 5 liters away from running out. Pretty damn close :P. No matter though, still grabbed the G3 win and having Tim finish 2nd made it a 1/2 finish for SoCal Motorsports....YAY!! :).

I can also continue with my win streak for points paying G3 races. The last race that included G3 cars in a TM.net/R2P endurance race was at Magny-Cours in S1 and I won it by beating two other cars, Dave Finkel and Ray Gillespie... :P. Those were some fun times :).

Yes! A pole! A pole I tell ya! hehe. I don't usually qually too well, so I was really pleased to sneak this one in on my last lap. Of course, the field wasn't very big. But we'll keep that to ourselves eh.

My teammate Barry was following me closely for the first few laps, but then suddenly, he was gone. Damn. Looked like it was going to be that way all race! Turned pretty lonely after that. Oh well, at least I was leading. :)

Claus eventually caught up to me though, just as I was about to pit at half-way. Wonder why it took you so long? LOL. Came back out in 2nd with over a minute lead to the car behind, so kinda just cruised to the end from there.

Lapped everyone but Claus and Conor! Even stayed on the same lap as CJ! Now that's something. Got behind Conor on the last lap, just as he indicated his lack of fuel over TS. So I decided to stay there just in case he needed a push to the end. hehe. Was getting a little bored to be honest, and that would have thrown a bit of interest back in!
