Man, was that tough. My first race in the rain and all in all, I'm happy to have finished. Congrats to the podiums in both classes.

Q: Based on my practice times, I thought I would qualify pretty well up the nGT grid. But it was not to be....

R: Got a great start and picked up quite a few places. But on around the 5th lap I got on the throttle a little too hard coming out of the last turn and nosed it into the inside barrier. At first I thought I just buggered my front splitter, but as I was driving away I felt the car pulling to the right and crabbing a bit. Then my crew chief said I had a puncture, which is what I suspected. Pulled it into the pits and after 107 seconds of repair, changing tires and topping up the gas tank I was well out of contention. The only thing left to do was to try and keep Michael Virt behind me and hang on until my next stop. My new off-sequence pit strategy didn't help at all as I had to pit again and Virt passed me and that pretty much sewed things up.

On to the sands of Dubai.

hmmm not sure if i should be happy or not happy.

2min before quali i visit quick toilet and if i come back, the quali did start and i was little to late and in R2P if you come not in front out of pitbox you can forget quali in 2 class races and so it was, i had in all 5 laps traffic and was not happy with my quali time, was hopeing for 1.40.xxx
so i started 4th and was little angry (not good in rain) and i did not make a practise start with viper and i did change from michelin viper to pirelli viper too short before quali start and so it comes....
to much power and i did spin in start (dump, dump, dump) and i hit the wall and get aero damage (8.2 sec. in xd) then i was last (like yesterday) and it takes endless laps to overtake the NGT cars and other slower GT cars, later in stint i was 6th and i would do in same lap as spyros? and robbins?, but i did not know where the pitbox income is and i nearly hit the wall again and i do not come in pitbox and i had to do other lap, this cost again any seconds and i was thining sh.t i do not overtake the other 2 drivers (which was only short in front of me) in pitbox because of this dump mistake, so i do another lap, reduce in xd the fuel from 76 to 72 litres and come in, but surprise, surprise i was in front of spyros and robbins, only 1 or 2 sec. but infront, hippie and i do now and fast laps and the gap get bigger then, but the 3rd place was already around 40 sec. away, so no hopes for 3rd, so i did drive race home.

Then suddently the leader bekas? did get loose connection in last lap and i was 3rd, so much unluck he had, he was so extrem fast.

the race was extrem fair and everybody from the NGT and slower GT cars did give much room and everything was perfect for this difficulty conditions.
after my dump mistake in start i did a good race with the viper.

Got puncture after hiting lambo in lap 1. Went to pits but opted for no change tyres but I still thought they will fix one with damage which did not happen so after 110s repair of other things I went for another lap with punctured tyre, get it fixed so finally on lap 3 I was on my way already 2 laps down on everyone. Did nonstopper but it overtook only one car anyway. Sorry for ruining your strategy Jim:(

No worries, Mike ... I ruined my own strategy. I was going to go with a 1-stopper, but the puncture put a stop to that.

I was looking forward for this one ( I like to race in wet condition ).I did little practice before race.I did my PB in Qualify .
Race started perfect for me I manage to overtook some cars and push as hard I could but Anton hold me behind me about 3 to 5 sec. Later my distance was increased but behind me later was Nick GT who pushed me;-)I manage to finished race in front him lucky me;-)))

Well, I entered the grid last for the beginning of the race, cause I didn't know what tires to put on. Reading in the chat just before the race that softs won't last (I'll file a protest to the guy that said it, you know who you are, is there any rule for misleading someone? lol), my last two clicks before I enter was to put hard wets on!! Very wrong as it proved!

In quals I was quite fast but couldn't make a clean lap and started 5th!
In the race I had some great moments with Ryan. I really enjoyed the battle we had, we entered the pits nose to tail and exit again in the same way.
I didn't change tires, I stayed with the hard wets. Also wrong.

Really cool was the battle we had with Ryan later. I managed to overtake him right after the pits, but passed me again in the next lap. First time we raced so close mate!

Really shame to Maciej. He had a great race! Congrats dude!

well I feel dumb. nearly got T-boned by Reinhard on the start which got my blood pumping lol I was just cruising around after that holding steady hanging with Robbins and the Lambo just ahead of us, guessing it was Spyros. a few laps in though I went to hit the clutch to upshift and evidently my modem cable was wrapped around it and pulled out of the modem so I lost connection right there :(

Realy wanted to race this one as i have never race in a wet before. After practicing a bit with few cars i new it that any car with the pirelli tires will be fast here but Ferrari was the best one for me. In a quali had a problem manage to do one clean lap as there were always some ngt on my way but the last lap was good and nobody in front. I thought it will be four way fights beetwen Reinhard Joco Milan and me. After the start Joco was close behind me but as i got into my rhytm i started to pull away from him bit by bit. I thing the gap grew up to around 20 sec before i pit. I was running long stint then when i exit the pit gtr surpise me again i was wondering how on earth Joco and MIlan got in front of me have no idea why i was in a pit for so long or maybe you guys didnt change the tires or something. Oh well it was actually good for the race as i had to be trying to catch you guys. I came close to Milan pretty quickly and made a move Before T1 as Milan didnt give a trouble then Joco was 8 sec in front but the gap was going down slowly then he sadenly was in front of me he made a mistake he slide a litlle and i was able to past him from the inside. From that point i pulled away again and in my last lap the gap was around 20 sec again. And then grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr connection lost oh man half lap before the end of it what a bad luck especially after such a long race not too much luck with gtr recently.
Still it was fun race and thank you to all for giving me a room and very fair driving.
