V8-Euro Brands Hatch

Got a Disco in warm-up, got back in before the race, Then at the end of lap 1 i get another Disco. Gutted!!!

I dont know whos Race #%#$% messed up...BUT IAM VERY SORRY!!coming into turn 1 my computer went to windows...Never has that happened before,Again Iam very very sorry.I started 18,and had made my way up to 9th when that happened on lap 25 or so.I hate the DNF..BUt i hate more that i took someone out of there race.In all my races at R2P,i had never crashed anyone.I cant tell you enough how sry i iam...make no difference in the outcome.But I never wanted that to happen

I really can't believe that anyone would make pass attempts that can only be pulled off by pushing the other driver out of the way. Scott, terrible form in T2...Milan, what was that all about? I am not flaming anyone but the total lack of patience, ( when the Admin specifically said to take it easy ), courtesy and etiquette is driving me away from R2P.

I realize my $8 a month is meaningless but I will no longer pay to be part of this.

What a race!!! Again, takes me back to my old karting days... I love R2P :D

Anyway, didnt do much practice for this one (only what I did on the server in official practice) so I was suprised to be reletively on the pace. Qually didnt go so well, got a solid lap in but then found the Eagle Woman parked across the track at the top of the hill! Went straight into her and lost a wheel... particularly annoying because I was on an in lap and could have slammed on the brakes, not sure what I was thinking... oh well, 4th on the grid will do...

Start was crazy, Bas blocked me to the inside (perfectly fairly, I might add, nice tight racing!), so I just drove round his outside. Richard then tried to block me into T2 (in my opinion, a little agressively, but oh well...) but I muscled through. Then it looked like Rich triggered a pretty big wreck behind, so me and Janko stormed away. Had a really great battle with Janko for a few laps, his "slow in fast out" technique almost caught me out on a couple of braking points!!! But I managed to get through a few laps later a pulled a gap of a few seconds.

Then, suddenly I was looking at the desktop!!! ARGH! My antivirus was telling me it had an issue with something, identical to what happened at Dubai in the GT3 cup while I was leading. It must be a problem with the server that I hope Tim will address with me (I've never had it at any point other than while racing the R2P Euro server).

That lost me 8 seconds or so and I dropped to 3rd. Then I really put my head in gear and pounded out some quick laps. That was until lap 7 when I had to pit for fuel! Seems Roberto was right and the fuel calculation at this track is a long way off.

Anyway, I came out of the pits with fresh tyres and a whole tonne of fuel and started reeling off the 1:30s. This was just enough to move me into the lead infront of Janko by a couple of seconds when he cycled through the pits. I put my head down and kept the gap even until pitting for the last time.

After that I really went for it. I managed to set a lap record (1:30.0), and pulled 20 seconds on Tom who emerged. Then with 4 to go I just totally lost concentration and nailed the wall in T5, wrecking my car. But I had just enough of a lead to crab around the last few laps in the 34s and somehow hold on to the win!

Great race, I'm glad this series is still going strong, I'll definatley try to come back more in future. This is by far the most competitive rFactor series at R2P in my opinion, and I was lucky to come out with the win today.

EDIT: Rich, what happened in T2 was on you and nobody else. I had the corner. You shut me off. End of story.

Hmmm yeah, I don't think everyone realizes races aren't wont in the first 5 corners. That looked like public server, at least from where I was sitting, and I can't believe I got through untouched.

Had 0 practice for this one as well, but at least in GTR2 V8's I had some recent experience, I haven't driven these in months, luckilly I knew the track.

Race started as I said already. Lap 2, braking for "Graham Hill Bend" my rear right caught little bit of grass and I spun immidiately, that sent me all the way back of grid, and then some. I overtook couple of them and came up to A Hine, it was impossible to overtake her even though I was 2s/lap faster. Eventually i did overtook her, and Tsarev.

Coming out of 2nd pits, lap 13, I had some 26 s deficit to Johan, we ended up only 4 s apart. That was exciting. Milan moved for me in last lap to allow me to try and catch Johan, but I had slight off immidiately, LOL, thanks for the gesture.

I overtook bunch of people, and that was nice, though finishing 9th wasn't really.

Grats Scott, great performance, grats podium finishers.

Yeah..let me guess...racing incident...watch the replay...you make a dive bomb attempt as I am turning in and then you "muscle" me out of the way...if thats racing, no problem...expect plenty of it from now on...

I'm not blaming anyone for anything anymore...racing seems to be all about how many guys you can make contact with...pathetic...

Oh man...my 1st rF V8 race....and if this wasnt the most exciting race i ever had... im a spaceship pilot. I did great in qual and started on 2nd possition. Had even better start and got 1st before T1. :D

Then i was pushing as much as i could, but Scott was faster then me ofcorse, and got behind me in few laps. We had such a great fight for few laps, but at one point on start/finish line there was no normal racing move i could do to to stay 1st. He got by and i tried on T2, but had just a little to much fear since im new to this cars, and i had to let go, otherwise it could of been disaster for both of us. But in few laps he made a mistake and i got back into 1st. Then on lap 12 i think, i pitted and got back onto track behind Scott. But before my 2nd pit i made a mistake in that fast chicane and lost 15sec :(. Then in Pit Depke made a nice F1 pass on me, and got infront, since i calculated i needed some more fuel and got another 4liters into tank.

In the closing stages, i was faster then Depke, but couldnt get past him, he made some nice blocking and i sattled for 3rd. But boy,... that surely wasnt gonna be easy... i had 3.5sec adv. on 4th, but 3 laps to go... and MY RFACTOR LUCK STRIKES AGAIN: I LOST 6TH GEAR!!!. I was soooooooo mad then and had lots of blocking to do for that last 3 laps. Thankfully all worked out OK and i got to finnish line with 0 liters of fuel! :D

So race full of FIGHTS, BAD LUCK, GOOD LUCK, FRUSTRATION and JOY...I couldnt ask for anything more on my first rF V8 race.

Bummer! Had hassles with my computer, didn't think I'd be able to run. Got it going at the last minute (sounds just like the old days with my Formula Vee!)

I found it very tough going back to the V8's after running the Formula BMW (IDT). You can drive those little formula cars so hard! Have to really tiptoe around with the V8s.

Then I missed my pit stop by one lap and ran out of fuel. Tried using higher gears and part throttle, but coasted to a stop in the pit entry. Augh!!

Jeez, you guys are quick! I've picked up several seconds since starting with the V8s a week ago, but my 1:33's were back of the pack with this bunch.

Oh well. Next time!

No Rich, not a racing incident. YOU didnt give up a corner you lost on the brakes. YOU brought it upon yourself.

I was really bad in first few corners. Spuned Richard and be involved in big mass crash test, sorry all, Ive been so confused in that first lap, specially to Richard.

Then I survive another big impact with Tolga on the straight, dont know why he flip from the tyre barrier into me and that was car destroy for both.
First lap I drove 3 min 50 sec. and after that I just driving to the finish.
