V8-Euro Barcelona

What a race. Practice went terrible, with me barley posting times in the top 10. Qualifying was a little better, dropping into the top 10 by qualifying 9th.

The race tho was AWESOME! I was very cautious on the first lap, due to not wanting to wreck it all away in a 1 hour race (man that was LONG). Then i picked my way though the field, ending up 6th or 7th before my first stop. With some great braking and a smooth stop, i made up 2-3 spots during pit cycles, putting me 4th, and on the move. I tried to chase down the 3rd place driver, but after my 2nd stop he was too far ahead. Then, i made my first F up of the race and just forgot to brake for the uphill left, handing away 4th to someone with a really long last name haha. In the closing stages pete and i had a GREAT battle, with him trying every out-braking move possible and me just trying to hold on, was great.

I think i could have been a podium car, but ill settle for 5th :)

My first experience with the V8 was one with mixed feelings. Very pleased with 10th overall but not pleased at all with my start. I won't go into details (too embarrasing) but I really fubared it. Everyone already done half a lap before I finally got on my way. I find the car hard to drive but knowing the track very well was an advantage. Have to work on my setups though cos the thing still turns like a tank. But I'll be there at Silverstone for the next one. Grats again to Wyatt and cya next time.

Well it was very hard to even notice the lights, especially from the back. There was no sound or anything indicating they where going off, and they were really dim to begin with.

In qual I didn't really get a good lap in, but the race was better anyway. I don't know what happened to Tom Depke at the start, but I think he missed the start of the race and got a dq trying to catch the field from the pits. I know you where bummed about that since you where starting outside pole. :(

Had a really fun time, racing close with Allen (twice) and finally with Nick for the last few laps. A real pleasure racing with you guys.
Must work on my standing starts, though, I keep getting mugged off the line! Pit stops also need some work - I lost a good 7-8 seconds to Nick each time!
