My bad...I hit Gregg in his right rear and spun him into John Onofrey on the 1st turn. Sorry Gregg and John...it was my fault...and you two guys have been there urging me on since I started racing here...I feel so stupid. I waited 1/2 a track later for them to catch up and I thought we were going to have some good racing at the back of the pack, but John was too loose. Gregg did some great driving though and pulled away from me. But, my punt of Gregg really took us out of the pack...I'm so sorry guys...my brain must have been somewhere else.

Russ Spencer was behind me on the last few laps and we had some good racing. To make things worse Gregg blew his engine on what I thought was the last corner, so I was coming around on my last lap to push him on to the checkered flag...I really should have stopped and pushed him before going around, but I didn't think of that quick enough. Then when I came around the 4th from the last corner I saw Gregg was actually on the 3rd from the last corner and slowed down...stupid me again...Russ was behind me and of course didn't expect me to slow down that much for the next corner and he ran into me...sorry Russ I was such an idiot in this race...thankfully he wasn't too damaged and made it around again. I pushed Gregg over the finish line, but I did so many stupid things in this race...both on the first lap and on the last lap that nothing I can do would correct my errors. I just hope I can be forgiven.

Lousy race for me, qualified good started off good. Pulled away in second with a 5 second lead. Maybe all the f550s were doing some bumping or just cruising/warming brakes for the first 2 laps... But they ran me down and passed me up into 5th. DBlocker passed me in pits, so back to sixth. I was very dissapointed after I had gotten excited at the thought of a podium or top5 finish!!! And I go and crash after being lapped by George!! Ugh, very embarrassing.

My setup was great for cold tires, but I slowed down alot later, I dont think I got a lap under 1:56 :( :(

I'll be sure to run a few miles before my next race, I was too full of real energy and coulnd't sit still to concentrate on the race!

I thought I might challenge you a bit more, but I came in only just before qualifying and never really got my bearings. That carried over to the race and you were long gone before I could break free and set sail to chase you.

Again great job as I don't think I could have done more than challenge even under the best of circumstances.

Yep ... my first win at R2P. And I'm happy with that ofcourse. Brno is one of my favorite tracks so that's why I set the alarm, caught a few hours of sleep and do the race at 3:30 AM. :-) Was surprised to get pole cos my time was more than 2 seconds from my pb. My fastest racelap was actually better than my poletime. Was happy to make it to T1 in P1 cos those 550's of Scott and Tom would be hard to overtake on this track. I only lost P1 for a few laps during the stops but after that the lead was very comfortable. Had no problems at all getting past the backmarkers. Well done there. Cya next time.

otherwise i flew into the sandtraps a few times - had a couple encounters with walls - [2 pits x tra]
glad at the least i finished - good raceing throughout the whole field

Brno is not exactly my favorite track so I have to be happy with the result. I started 5th and managed to not fall any further back than 6th through the first laps. There the chases bagan, 3rd, 4th and 5th (sorry I dont know who you were) ran pretty close together for a while and I just raced the track and kept close. Things got scary when one of them ran into lag and their car would jump back on the track a couple hundred feet and just pop up in front of me. I narrowly avoided one just out of the T1 exit where I had to put a couple tires in the grass and hope it didn't come around on me, it didn't and his car lag-popped forward a couple seconds in front of me back to where he was running. The next time I wasn't quite as lucky and did make contact with him when again the car just appeared in front of me not moving. This time he never reappeared so maybe he lost connection altogether. Thankfully my car wasn't hurt too badly and though there was gaps between 3rd, 4th and 5th(me), by the time pitstops were coming up we had all drawn back close to eachother. On the lap before I was to pit while lapping somebody I found the car not wanting to hold the line through the last chicane and it slid up forcing them into the grass, my apologies to whoever that was.
After the pit cycle was complete I was running in 3rd for most of the second half of the race. Somebody worked awful hard to close up on me from I think around 13 seconds back after the pitstops to my rear bumper close to the end of the race. Finally I went high through T1 and they went inside, we ran side by side up the hill toward T2 and just as I'm getting on the brakes I see him sideways in my rearview mirror. I downloaded the replay but it won't play for me so I have no idea what happened. I know I held the low line and never heard or felt any contact but if anyone knows I'd like to hear it. Sorry again I have no idea who you were but you put up a heck of a chase.
After that I just drove smart and held on for a podium finish.

Qualified 3rd, but just couldn't hold it at the start. Did anyone else experience warping, especially at the beginning of the race. At times, the cars in front of me disappeared and the game stuttered badly. Anyway, BRNO has always been a favorite of mine. After a couple of laps, the warping and stuttering subsided and I was able to start racing again. Got up to third before I pitted. Dennis and I were running identical lap times. It was a hoot trying to catch him after my pit stop. Went for the pass, but couldn't hold it, ending up in a trap. Damn, I wanted that position. Congratulations George, Scott and Dennis. I wish I could do this well in the lower classes.

Oddly enough I didn't see any lag in the race. But, I always check the server replay (download it from this page just above the Results, Post-race, Pre-race buttons) to see if the server recorded anything like that. It happened to me in a race at Hockenheim that I remembered seeing someone behind me spin out, but when I checked the server replay I had disappeared and then reappeared behind that driver then shot forward and sideswiped him...without my even knowing anything had happened in the race. But, the local replay that I always record didn't show any lag...hence I always check both.

But, for some reason the server replay is causing GTR2 to crash. :( Is anyone else having this problem? I've been able to play the other server replays, and my local replay of this race works fine, but the server replay loads up the track, but when GTR2 starts to switch to display the track it crashes. I downloaded it twice in case the file was corrupted, but still no go.

I just make sure I get out of the race before the game takes us to the next track. That way I have the replay stored on my computer.

I'll rename it (if it is a good race, lol) and save it.

Hey Steve, I did watch the Replay, and you were right, ain't no big thang', By the way, your display of sportsmanship will not go unmentioned, your apology was more than enough, especially when it was just a racing incident. I can't believe you kept the mishap in your memory right up until the last lap, thank you for the push.

Other then that, I nearly fell asleep at the wheel, for me that was probably the worst event I have been in, after the spin I had at the start (he he Steve) I don't think I saw another car until I pulled into the pits. I got some adrenaline going for all of about 3 laps and then started to snooze again. Thee was one time when I was hearing odd sounds, almost like another car engine was nearby...had to shake my head a few times to take a look around, but nobody was there :(
