I lost connection on Lap 77, Is like I was racing by myself since lap 50 or so...No lap times, no times from previous car or next car... 4th. time this happens to me with GTR-2.... D*mn netcode...I'm getting sick of this loosing connection thing....I was like in 6 or 7th. behind Ryan Ansoon, then a lap later I was 11, and noone had passed... Tim, Does this count as DNF? I tried to find the server and is like it wasn't there....arrgghh....

Well, had a nice race with a few guys, very clean all...:)

good race all. my pedals came unpluged in the first few laps, i thought the motor died. someone hit me befor i could hit esc (sorry). was a good race watching the leaders deal with lap traffic.

I noticed you still lapping around Omar but your scoring ended around lap 65 even though you continued on for another dozen lap before the disco. Not sure what that is all about, though I do recall it happening before back with GTR1, but not recently. Sadly, yes it counts as a DNF too.

First podium, but disappointed in my passing. I was way too aggressive and knocked somebody off on the second lap. Not sure who it was as I haven't watched the replay yet, but my bad whomever that was.

Otherwise, it was fun lapping with Samuel the last 15-20 laps, even if I was a couple laps down at the time. One can always learn something when following a winner.

I was of a mood to not be "another red Ferrari" tonight, so I experimented with a couple of other cars- too much push for me in the Saleen, too loose in the Porsche GT2 (which also feels way underpowered). Finally I settled on the Vette.

There are some guys out there who can make the Vette fly, right up there with the faster GTs. Lucky for you guys, I'm not one of 'em :P But I figured I'd try sort of a tortoise and hare strategy tonight- Oschers is infamous in my experience for generating attrition, and I figured a slightly slower but safer car might do okay.

Worked like a champ in the first few laps, as the usual contact and spins gained me 4 spots or so. I settled in and turned some pretty consistent, comfortable laps. Got worried around 20 mins in when the early spin guys started catching me again, and I lost a few spots back. But I did my best to maintain, and fought more with my own concentration than anything else. I'm always in danger of forgetting to brake and plowing off into the sand in a long race like this.

By the time I went in to pit, I think I was in 7th. Pits went well and I came back out in 8th, then got 7th back to somebody else pitting, and finally 6th with 1/2 hr to go, not sure who gave it up or why. For the last 1/2 hr I worked on maintaining about a 7 second lead over Gregg, until he pitted in the late 80's. After that I had a nice cushy lap lead on him, and figured I was going to coast home for 6th, when my fuel light came on and my crew radio'd me in for a pit. FIRE THE CREW CHIEF! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!! Hadn't planned on that stop at all, I should have had more than enough to go the distance. The stop went smooth, fortunately, and I came back out with only 4 seconds on Gregg. I was sweatin' bullets at that point, because now I was fuel heavy and Gregg was gaining at least a second a lap. Thank goodness the checkered flag waved only a few laps later, with Gregg close on my bumper. Hung on for my usual 6th place yet again ;)

I am still pretty new to GTR2 so to get pole was a huge suprise against guys like Sam and Dave. David got a great start or I got a bad one, but regardless great job by him. Was comfy riding around in 2nd when I started making new names for myself...

I hit you M Cash, no biggie if you had technical problems. I thought it was someone just deciding to quit and being sloppy so I was outraged!!.

Omar!! very odd, I thought you were in 8th or 9th but all of the sudden you were 6th(I was 5th), you posistion(above car) was constantly changing between 6th(or 5th) and 10th. Still it was fun driving with you for 20 or so laps.

Good race other than that, made some passes, let leaders pass. No incidents, except when passing Omar, I locked the brakes like a nerd. I'm very happy with 5th!!

M Kolar I know what you mean, my first few 1.5 hr races I got a little tired and sloppy, but now I don't seem to get into it and smooth until 45min-1 hour into it. I might drop the VVC series and start driving in the 2hr GTopen on saturdays..we'll see.
