Whew, that was a wild one. The first couple of laps were some serious bumper-cars, lots of pushing and shoving. I had to check up at the start and lost 3 or 4 spots. I tried to be cautious but the pack was having none of it. Edgar V was braking way late resulting in a serious push corner after corner, and plowing people out of the way like bowling pins. I let him slide by and then passed him back on the inside a couple of times, took a little contact and backed off, then watched as he whacked Michael Cash, who got broadside, flipped up in the air, and landed on my car! Michael took a lot of damage, I was lucky and had minimal, didn't affect the car at all as far as I could tell. That really rattled me, though, and I made some mistakes of my own the rest of that lap, took some more light bumps that were mostly my fault. Before all was said and done I was in 13th after leaving the grid 6th. Cars were already thinning out, though, and I was able to settle down and start gaining back some spots. From then on I had a lot of fun. I had to work pretty hard to get some of those spots back, and loved every minute of it. Had a really good battle for 4th with Jarrod after pitting- he was a little faster but I held him off for quite a few laps. I was working the tires pretty hard to stay ahead, and finally it cost me a little slide in a 2nd gear right-hander, and Jarrod blew through. I backed off and let him go, and only a couple laps later I find I'm driving through a big cloud of steam- sure enough, it's coming from his Lambo. At that point there was a 20 second gap to 3rd which I couldn't do much to shrink, so I decided not to push too hard and just do my best to hold my concentration for the remainder. Fun stuff, I'm very happy with a top 5.

Yikes Michael that is an ugly sounding post race. From my perspective, I got a good launch off the line only to throw it away in T1, pushing almost out to the grass I came back to teh race line with half the lead I had going in. And sure enough I do it again the next corner! Well lucky for me David and Jarrod were having their own little battle and by lap 3 with nice warm tires I started streching it out. By lap 10 I had about 10 seconds to play with and by the halfway point I pitted with 20 seconds. After the stops were completed the 2nd place car was only 11 seconds back and all I could think of was someone didn't get enough fuel or something because my stop was spot on.

Well only 3-4 laps later the gap shot from 13 to 35 seconds! The rest of the race was spent trying to stay concentrating and avoiding spinners along with stay out of others races.

It was a blast! I made a few mistakes, but only lost one position from where I started, so I am more then pleased to have my personal best starting position (for points paying race) and best overall finish in GTR2!

This was my first race in GTR2 and was fun. Started in 3rd and only plannned on holding there because I knew I had nothing for Kent or David.I had 35 sec. lead on 4th by the time I pitted. Pit took 73 sec's,without damage, is that normal? Didnt know pit limiter turns off automatically and turned it off where I thought the line was and got stop and go penalty. Got back to 4th after all of that and started smoking and blew with 12 to go. I was running 4 radiator, must not have been enough. Again, sorry about sitting on side of track until end. Didn't want DNF, teamate pushed me across.

Now that was a blast...my lambo shot outta the hole at the green. I usually dont press the issue on the start kinda lay back and pickm off best I can. But that black beauty came outta the hole like a rocket...and I just couldnt pass up the oppurtunity to blow by those ferrari's.
I went from 11th to 4th in the first turn and did it on the outside clean. I held 4th for a few was in Code 3 Hot pursuit of my t-mate Jarrod. I settled in and just cruised for a few, was getting a little pressure from a ferrari every other lap or so. Was stoke...holy cow I was in 4th. Then as always the X-Factor hits and I run plum outta talent and nose it in the wall.
It didnt do too much damage as far as handling, so i figure Ill limp it around for a few and work on a fuel strategy, knowing Im goin to have to pit to fix the areo damage eventually, seeing as I was 2 secs off the pace. So after about 3-4 damged laps around the track and five cigerettes later.
I soon come to the conclusion that my 1st pit is goin to have to be within the first 15 laps, DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF FUEL I DIDNT PUT IN IT. DOH!!! All in all coming up shrt on talent and common sense. It was another awesome r2p run. Had a blast...seeya at the next one!!!

Yeah! I had one of those Black Lambo's myself and same as Kev...Shoooshh! I passed 3 Ferraris and 1 Viper (teamm8)...Kept it in that place for a while, until those "Caballino's" started getting their HP's back on track...I was running 7th. for a while, battling it out very cleanly with my teamm8 for several laps, back and forth, back and forth, 8-7-8-7 (sort of)...I pitted and when I came out Ryan was in 7th... Lost a spot, but he was having some oversteer issues, or at least that is what I saw...Then, it came the other driver's Lambo engine failure and I thought I was going to have the same issue, had Radiator on 4, but I just kep pushing, my teamm8 passsed and for another 2 laps he kinda lost it and gained again 7th. spot until the end... I must say, that the drivers fought very clean, and made great passes as it should be...

Hi all, I am sorry about Michael Kolar and Michael Cash. My apologies to both of you. I was trying to win some positions since I started 8th and was 10th at that point, but made many mistakes in the way to it. At the end of the day I lost my connection (or was fired?) and had to leave. I will be more cautious next race. Anyway it was fun those shorts laps I was on track.

20 laps into this 58 lap race my crew chief (my wife) told me to bring the car in and retire from the race early. Most crew chiefs would not make this call with a perfectly good car with plenty of fuel, good tires, and a potential top 10 finish. When asked to comment on this controversial call the crew chief simply replied, "it's late". Somehow I don't think my crew chief cares if I finish a race or not. :/

Flowers.... flowers and lots of Old Navy gift cards. That's what it took for my crew chief to start caring.

My race was pretty fun. Had a great battle with one of the guys in th early laps, like 7,8,9 or so, back in the 13th position or around there. Lots of fun. Then later another scrap for position 11 or so for several laps. I can't remember any of the details like you guys can, and I haven't watched the replay yet. Had to pit 3 times for tires during this one. It was fun.
