Monza Grand Prix

Well that was my first race in the F3000 series here on Race2Play, got shoved off in the second chicane and ended up facing backwards, joined at the back of the grid (didn't want to get in anyones way rejoining quickly) and fought my way back up to 11th, only to run out of fuel 100metres from the finish!!! I was a little worried at the start of the race when I filled my tank to the very top only for it to show 25laps of fuel for a 26 lap Race!! have I missed something?? anyone else have this same issue?

Anyway, congrats podium.

I noobed :P - inexpience here also as it was my first race in these cars. Thought i'd need a stop for tyres so only fuelled for about 60% distance to start with, so after the race i beat myself with nettles as punishment:D

-keeping the car in one piece at the Rettifilo (not Rettif-i-lio as M.Walker says, lol) chicane, that's always a tough task!
-avoiding contacts and errors
-XD check @ every lap, fuel consumption needed to not be between 4,60 - 4,70 L/lap to be safe
-cruising and checking gaps 3 times a lap, Brian was my pacekeeper

DONE, could not do better than this considering my Qual position.

Nice race, Monza is always a special place.

This have been the worst race ever.

In Quali I manage to get to 13th place with a time wich I have been able to beat this whole day.

The Race have been just a hell I didn't have a good pace at all and I was trying my hardest to say in 8th possision but then I span and a car hit me so hard that I lost front wing and it took time before it got fixed in the pits. When I was exiting I was in 14th possision and ran as quickly as I could to catch up to the drivers infront and I did. on last lap the driver in 12th place went to pits and gave me 12th posision.

Live and learn, I guess.

I was amazed to get the position I did in qualifying. I got a 38.5 which I was fairly sure I was going to have to settle for on my first run, but then on the second (2 tenths up) I span off at the second Lesmo (that damn kerb on the exit) breaking my suspension. It was wlright so I took another couple of laps and as the clock was about to stop I was a half second up on my previous best. Think it was the first 37 I got there.

But I read it as 28 laps, so I decided to pit. I was running 4.8l laps, so I'm not sure if I could have pulled it off without, but if I had I think I could have grabbed second. I got to second or third with people pitting ahead of me, so if I'd just stayed out, on mostly consistent laps... As it was, Yalam only finished a place up on me, so I didn't lose out to him much in the championship, but I'm still stuck looking at trying to defend fourth next week.

There was someone I shan't name, who when I came to lap them decided to race me. For half a lap we were side by side, and I couldn't back down as I was racing to gain on the person ahead of me. I'm sure we get blue flags being lapped in races there. Please pay attention to them.

One driver penalized a lap for not serving mandatory drive through after punting another car.
