GTC-Euro Donington

Ended up with a DNF only minutes in. Had a spin and was left hanging in the track facing the wrong way when I came to a stop with fast traffic right at my nose, so I stayed put. I was re-entering the track after a spin, and was certain I had room to re-enter. The rear let go right as I got onto the pavement and that was it. Not the best decision on my part as far as re-entering with traffic approaching I guess. Sorry fellas. Inevitably, someone was not able to move around me and we wrecked. I don't know why he didn't slip around me, he had enough room to do it, but came straight into me. Sorry my friend, I know that ended your race as well. Sorry to any who I slowed down, but I followed the rules and stayed put. Didn't want to wreck anyone who may have expected me to stay there until traffic got around me.

I knew I would be sent to a spot in the rear of the pack - thanks to the incident in turn one. ( I lost 16 seconds after a contact by another driver). WTF? I thought -do we try to win races in the first turn? I got passed in the start by the guy, and he cut right into me while I was braking to let him pass. Maybe he thought he was past me.

So I tried to regain some ground and made it back to 17th in about 4 or 5 laps. It was looking good as I saw other drivers ahead and was thinking I was going to move through the field a bit. By that time I was being lapped by Sam, and then the rear end let go and the rest is history.

Congrats podiums.

Nice race, the usual stuff happening but other than that it was ok.

Jsut drove a conssitent error free race and was well rewarded at the end unlike some other ppl :) (hint hint Tolga/Janko)

Sorry, Haven't remember 2 stop (first race in GTC, I do 1 when I see every body go to pit but that's all), hopefully, I have no race fact with leader, was nice race anyway. See u next

Betrand, I feel so sorry for you. I know there is no way you did it on purpose, you just forgot.

Oh man... so frustrating race for me... :| Started 2nd and stayed there for few laps then i went into a spin and was back in 7th i think. It was time to overtake... well that was fun atleast... But i made mistake while trying to overtake someone in 1st corner on the outside and spinned again. Lost around 15sec there in sand... :(

Then the pit crew problems strike AGAIN!!! I realy dont like pitstops in this game. Last time in Zuhai i had to wait for them to fuel someone that was in my spot... and today... they just stand there doing nothing!!!!!!!! So after few attepmts at that, i went back on track and then pit for 2 tires. And one lap later... again for other 2... so 3 PIT IN A ROW!!! I was so nerveus by that time and on 12th i think...

Then i had some luck and some very nice fights, specialy with L.Ho and ended up in 8th possition...

Realy not the place i wanted to be, but with 2 spins and 3PIT "strategy" that was about all i could do. Realy starting to hate the pitstops since everytime i lose soo much there its beggining to realy suck...

I will post a vid about what happened to me Rad. Not my mistake at all and i still dont know what kind of a thing that was. Not in mood for a report actually maybe after a couple of hours

My first appearance in GTR2 is for forget.
Started from 7th and dropped to 10-11 place in first lap.
Then had some nice battle with, Darren and Grecian. When we lapped someone I missed brake point and touched Darren forcing him to go off, sorry man.
Till the half race I managed 5th place and prepare to first stop. I pitted twice lap by lap 23rd and 24th but when I entered in pit second time someone were in my pit and I stayed without service of my crew :(. After half a minute of confusion and tramp few times my mechanics I decide to go another lap.. ... and again pitted.
After release that my good position was gone I decide to drive for fun and changed another time tyres for soft-medium combination.
I tested tyres during official race, that was nice :)

Ok, enough, finished 4 lap down and learn some things about GTR2 just for future event :)

Looking at the pace in the room tonight, I thought before I'd even started that a Top 10 would be an achievement!

Quallied in the 1:06's - which only JUST got me in the Top 10. Race start was fairly civilised, and I settled into 9th - and ran a fairly average first stint. After seeing Janko destroying some kiddie's sandcastle in Turn One 8) - I thought he'll be along soon to reclaim position... Yup, and I let him by - hoping to hang onto the back of him ;)

That worked pretty well - untill the pits... and that was traffic chaos. The stop went reasonably OK, as did the 2nd stop on the next lap - apart from having to sit in my slot waiting for a queue of cars to go past!

Last stint was alot of fun - people to lap, people to lap me... all very entertaining. With 3 to go - whoever was behind was closing rapidly.... Oh dear - it's Janko! However I was determined that this time he'd have to earn his pass ;) - and thankfully the chequered came out before he could make a pass stick... Phew!

Grats to the Podium & Front Runners - all of you... That was a wicked pace you guys had!

The quali times were amazing and I don't think I could have done much better than the 12th I got. The race start went well and I was soon in 9th with Milan right behind and Paul in front. Milan was fast and I was having to defend alot already and we were having a good battle and still pretty much staying with Paul. Then we came across a slow car going into the final chicane and in the confusion I took a hit and span off. Rejoining there was dodgy and I had to wait for about 6 cars to pass. The rest of the first stint was only average pace because of the state of the car but after the first stop I had a good race until the end and clawed my way back to 10th. I did have a spin at McLeans right in front of Grecian after passing another slower car and Grecian couldn't avoid me, sorry about that one, I was offline and off pace entering the turn and just got it all wrong.

Paul yes we had a good time ontrack. I was waiting for last lap, but then it hit me in last turn... Oh... i was lapped!!! so i ran out of laps... Still nice racing ;D

Will you be training soon @ your server for some Adalide V8? ;)
