W-GT3: Hockenheim

A bit bloody incensed!!!!!!
I'd been looking forward to this the last two weeks, practised a lot and was running a really good race in my Porsche by mid-distance when a fucking pit-bug kills my race!!!!! And forces my 5th ever DNF in 116 races!!!!
I'd started very near the back and in flooded thunderstorm conditions in the dark and had made not a single error for 45mins to climb upto 5th place on the back of Domhnall in 4th when we both entered pits at same time (I'd pressed my pit request button and crew were waiting for me), there was my guy with pitboard waiting but Domhnall pulls into his place, I have nowhere else to go so I wait, Domhnall leaves his pitstop and I go to the box where the man is still standing with the board but nothing fucking happens, I have no way of doing my pitstop and with only half litre fuel no way of doing another lap to find if it'll work next time! So it was race over when I was looking to score that top-4 I missed out on the penultimate lap last race. What a ridiculous way to end my race and a waste of my time, if it was my own error I'd say fair enough, but this was annoying to say the least. How come the Porsche cant do a pitstop at this track in the race?? Is this a frequent bug in the game/mod? Argh!

A very nice dark race but a little wet lol.

I start 13th and i manage all the race to join the finish line, at one time i was 4 th, and i finish cool with many mistakes in 7° place.

I thought this race was going to be a nightmare under these conditions, but it turned out to be better than I anticipated.

I made a couple minor errors early on then got caught up in some traffic. By the time I got a clear track in front of me Darren already had a sizable gap. It appeared we were on identical pace as the time stayed the same for pretty much the entire stint. I knew I would need for Darren to make a mistake for me to have a shot. We pitted on the same lap and somehow the gap doubled (this seems to happen to me a lot for some reason). With Darren way in front and a comfortable gap behind it was down to just clicking off the laps to the finish. I was a little concerned when Joao ran so long on the first stint thinking he would not take tires and come out in front, but fortunately that didn't happen.

Congrats to Darren for running a flawless race and to all that finished under tough conditions.

I am really enjoying this mod - I am scheduled to work on the day of the Donnington race but I am trying to get it changed.

Took slicks to start with in quali but it was a bit too wet for them, came in for wets then really went for it.
It was an easy decision of what tyres to take for the race, I loved the wet at the start, it made plenty of spray for those behind me and made life harder on the heavier, more powerful cars. That let me get away whilst David fought with them. After that I just had to be careful passing traffic, there were a couple of close calls where I could have got into trouble but most of the time everyone was giving me plenty of room, thanks.
The pit went well but wasn't especially fast, when I noticed the gap had opened I just thought David had got caught up in some traffic or something.
The track got more grip towards the end just like at Enna, so although I was trying to take it easy the laps kept getting quicker anyway. I'm surprised there is such a change, it's almost like using the variable weather mod anyway. There was definitely less rain at the end.
Grats to all finishers. Unlucky Mark, I had the same thing at the weekend at Spa, mine was because I slightly overshot the pit stall, could you have maybe done the same thing?

I suppose it makes it easier for me to bear knowing this sort of thing even happens to the best like Darren but I followed another car in and they went into the pit-space that my crewman was standing in, so I waited behind for them to leave, then pulled in and nothing happened. I think it was one of those mod+track specific bugs... Was really enjoying it up to that point though and felt the Porsche could have got a decent result, onto Donington then!

Hey Mark, really sorry you got screwed like that. It was a great shame as we were having a great scrap.

I'm very happy to finish 4th. I didn't have a quick car, but it was stable and easy to drive in the conditions which counted for a lot. First half of the race was in a 4 way fight with Mark, Jerome and Michael Cash. Was great fun. After the stops i was about 18 seconds ahead of Michael. Jerome dropped back after his stop, don't know if had problems. Mark of course had his pitstop bug. The second half of the race saw Michael sneek in on me lap by lap. The closest he got was 7-8 seconds. Was frustrating to push hard and yet still have the guy behind close in. Late on he must have spun off as he lost a couple of seconds to me.

Last 3-4 laps were a bit hairy as my tyre temperatures soared. Held on though for a great result. Was a fun race. Really enjoy hockenheim and the dark and rain wern't quite as difficult as i envisaged. Well done to everyone who finished.

Im not a fan of the rain but was a good race. yeap was tring to catch up with Domhnall Morrissey but tires were going off very quick. grats to all and see ya at Doni

Qualifying was poor.
Race started ok, was battling for 5th and 6th with good pace until the dreaded father called. He needed a hand with the car and I suppose I had to oblige. So took the car into the pits to keep it out of harms way. Came back out about a lap and a half behind the entire field. Found that I had the pace to unlap myself and to pass cars (a lap ahead) in 7th and 6th places. Splash and dash at the end
Happy with the result in the circumstances but could have had 5th or 6th.
