Grats, Conor.

All i have to say about this one beyond that is this:

When you're making a track for sim racers, it's bad enough to place concrete hay bales within 2 feet of the apexes of a series of treacherous esses. You shouldn't then put an invisable wall in the grass to terminate those who've learned their lesson and try to avoid the concrete hay bales rather than hit them.

Yes totally agree Barrett. Haybales that dent doors or break front spoilers is fine. Concrete? WTF?!

I achieved my main goal for this race, to only get lapped once by Conor!

This track is very challenging. DITTO ON THE HAY BALES! I was feeling pretty good about myself for a while there. Looking like maybe a top ten. But I wasn't watching the rear tires and without warning the backend came around. But that's just the beginning. The sand pit didn't do it's job, it was like sliding thru oil. Then the grass was worse. By the time I stopped, I had slid thru and stopped next to a tree. Now, I slid thru those tree limbs, but when I tried to drive out I was pinned between two limbs. It felt like it took forever to get away from that tree! I was lucky, must have been lap traffic going by cause I only lost two spots.

So VIR has concrete hay bales, invisible walls and evil trees.

Other than that, it was kinda fun.

Well, what can I say? Always a proponent of the "practice,practice,practice" theory of Talent Deficiency Syndrome, there isn't much that could be done except put-put around and try not to be the laughing stock of the race. I really wanted to be here, it was important for me to finish the race, that's what mattered most.
I would have finished much better if I did not make a dreadful mistake at the end of the long straight and damaged the car, but that's really the only silly moment. I say "only" like it cost me a second or two, but it cost me a ton of time and probably the unending ridicule of those following me.
Had a great battle early on with my friend Ralph, hope I gave you enough room mate, I wished it could have lasted longer.
The schedule is what it is, and it's increasingly difficult to practice more for these events (and racing in general), and it is showing in a rather poor string of performances. To watch Conor drive though was super.
