That was the best race I have been in here at R2P. These cars are so much fun to just throw around.

Sorry to Paul Burns for punting you into the wall. I came up on you quicker then I realize and then just locked the brakes up. I hope you didnt get too much damage.

Pretty lonely race for me. As Goran quickly pulled away from me, I slowly pulled away from third place. At times Greg, Vedran, and Yury made substantial gains on me, then would fall back. Towards the end, after carefully making my way around a lapped car, I suddenly see Dmitry within less than a second. I don't know where he came from, but I knew he had me. He watched me for a while before executing his pass on the last lap. I got back inside him in the last turn, but it was too little too late.

Congratulations to Goran for the win, and to Dmitry Lukanov for the championship. It was a fun series.

I don't remember being punted William. There was some contact but the only time I really went off track was my own fault when I lost focus. I was struggling to beat 1:07 at the beginning of the race but after some experimentation I started beating or getting close 1:06. I started getting closer to William Mize during the last 3 laps but the race was over too soon.

Earlier today I saw a 2007 Volkswagen GTI Fahrenheit parked at LOWE's. It looked awesome. I wonder if they drive like Spec Rhez's :)

I was the one that was punted...

That was a load of fun. We had a good battle going right from the start with Yury, Greg, Me, James, Kev and Timothy. This group fought together in the middle of the pack for the fist half of the race. Greg and I raced it out bumper to bumper right to the start finish line at the end. It was a fitting way to end the series. Who has more fun than we do?

Yes, Michael was the one you punted William, on lap 10. I was wondering why Michael had messed up the turn as I passed him right after that. If you think you are gonna outbrake someone, go inside next time.

I did race just a few Rhez events during the season - despite, as well as many other people, I love those cars, the races start too early in the morning for me. But this time I had enough sleep the night before and decided to get some fun at the end of the season.

Qualified just 5th and kept this position until lap 6 when Verdan and Greg, while fighting each other, did mistake and let me go by on the back straight. A few laps later Verdan took away 3rd pos back, though :)

The 2nd half of the race was quite succesful for me - seems I managed to save tires better and overtook Verdan back. With 7 laps to go Charles was ~2 sec ahead, but the gap was decreasing slowly. With 3 to go I was on Charles' tail and looked for an opportunity to overtake. Charles had better lines and I had no chances in turns and in turns' exits, but I was braking a bit later and that was the only chance for me. Not a big chance, though.

The only real chance I got when Charles did a small mistake entering the backstraigt on the final lap and in the beginning of the straight I found myself in a nice position for attack - slipstream + a bit higher speed. I love racing for such moments - the braking point is approaching, the adrenaline is boiling, I'm jumping out of the slipstream. Couldn't outbrake to get obvious advantage - the cars were side-by-side and Charles even didn't see my car and this lead to a contact, quite scary for me as the car became out of control for a while. But I think everything was within the bounds of rules - it wasn't a diving bomb attempt and the contact wasn't intentional.

Charles did a good attempt to get 2nd place back in the last turn - I had terrible enter/exit there, but still finished 2nd :)

Congratulations to everyone for the end of the season.

Special hurray goes to my teammate, Dmitry Lukanov for winning the serie, as well as the constructor's cup :)

Oh my bad, Michael. Same holds true, I completely screwed up that turn. I locked the hell out of the brakes and tried my best to avoid you but didnt. I guess my brain was not working at that point in time.

Qual 2'nd? Where the hell did that lap come from? I had a 10'th place car and knew it. So, I ripped off the best (and only 1:04) of the evening in qual and got exited. Then I relized that I'm going to have to start ahead of the aliens and I'm going to get creamed in the back. :> Was in third by the end of the first lap and was really mixing it up in the top 5. Got some runs and made some passes on the fast guys and amazed myself. I really stepped up from a backmarker to a midpacker in one race. Anyway, Dmitry lied when he said:

Truth be told, Dmitry made it 3 wide on the backstretch in an amazing display of control during breaking. I had to take an outside line to let both of them by. All in all, I overdrove a little bit and ended up 6'th. Very happy with my results.

I have to say that I'm going to miss these little sh!tboxes next season. These are the only cars in R2P right now that you can overdrive and lose time in. All the other cars lose grip fast when overdriven, usually resulting in off course excursions.

Congrats Dmitry on the season championship, you were amazing to race with.

And to any of you heading out to F179 on Friday nights, look for a Ferrari in the back 20 seconds off the pace. And wave at me. :>
