Spec Rhez

What's the procedure for once the race session begins? I got DQ. How much time do you have to get on track? GTR2 gives you 2 minutes.

I was looking forward to my first rfactor race with race2play. Cheese and Crackers! I'm a little PO'd!

Paul, yes it is 30 seconds to get to the grid. If you miss that window, you have to start from pit lane. Now, in the real world you can not leave pit lane under a red-light. The light will not go green until another 30 seconds AFTER the green flag has been given. So, you have to wait for the formation lap, gridding, green, +30 sec, then you are released from a pit-lane start. If you leave before, you are DQ'd.

We, as sim-racers, are so use to not following real-world rules that we often forget they exist in some of these sims. rFactor keeps you honest in this area.

Fun race in these cars, as usual. I just wish I had discovered them earlier in the season than I did, now that I know they're going away for S5.

After a hectic start and a few laps of sorting out, I was running behind Sean Smith, with Charles Hodges behind me. I wasn't quite able to reel in Sean, but I had a good time trying in vain to keep Charles behind me. I lost count of how many times he could have laid a bumper to me to take the position, but instead let off to let me keep it on the track. Thanks again for that, Charles!

After a few passing attempts and some side-by-side corners, Charles was able to take the lead and keep it to the end (although we had some tense moments as we caught up to the 2 cars in front of us who had had some contact and spun in T2, which just meant more close racing for all of us.)

Sorry to see these little cars go...they can seemingly take more fender-to-fender abuse than any other sim-racer I know of, and it's fun to go side-by-side with someone when you know that you can have some contact without risking disaster.

For me this was fun race in the first few laps. Than came a long period of solo racing for almost entire race on the 2nd place. Than i had exciting last 2 laps again.

I wonted to play it safe this time and i took maybe a bit too much fuel, so i was a bit slower than in practice sessions. Finally, gap between leader and me was out of the way and i could attack, but this time instead of fuel, i ran out of laps.

Cheers back to you Gary! Was lots of fun racing alongside you and playing a game of "chicken" to see who would let off first going into some of the turns.

Great fun, Thanks, a pleasure to drive with you guys, wish I remembered who I was racing against for 7th&8th position it was awesome Racing, we over took each other at least 3 times, he bumped my rear and almost turned me around on turn 2 right hander, but gathered it up and continued on , also think he slowed to let me continue ahead.Thank you.

Confusion caught me ill prepared as I had built a set and practiced at the smaller venue. So when I got there it was a bunch of car tuning that occupied my time. Man I have never worked so hard for a 14th spot. I spun out on T1 and that put me in a race with 12th and 13th. As usual I started overdriving the corner entry [never a good thing to do] and it wasn't a few laps before the front tires were a scorching 300 degrees. The car really fell off after that. I never saw anyone after that and I think everyone had their cars in the haulers before I crossed the start finish line. Only one more week of these little cars. Man I'll miss them. This series has been a blast.

This had to be one of the most fun races I've ever had. Qualified second on a lucky lap. As usual, I made a major mistake on the first lap, losing positions to Ian Grant and Goran Gunjevic. Ian and I raced close the entire race, trading positions a couple of times. As we battled, Yuri Korn and Bert Owens were steadily gaining on us. Once they caught up, it was a four-way battle royale for positions 3-4-5-6. Even though I came out third in our fight, it was about as fun as it could be. Close, hard racing, a little touching, but nothing dirty, and everyone brought it home in one piece. Thanks Ian, Yuri and Bert for a great race.

@Tim: Surely you won't let this great series die?

KEEP RHEZ ALIVE!! I enjoyed this SOOO much (even though my comp restarted after 8 laps) and I would HATE to see it go Tim!!!

I'm with Charles in saying that was one of the most fun races I've ever been in. I managed to qualify 3rd, my best starting spot ever at R2P. Garo and Ian got around me at the start but I was cruising along in 5th until Yury got got a run on me coming off the final turn on lap 6. After that I had the best seat in the house to watch some awesome racing by Ian, Charles and Yury for 3rd, 4th and 5th for the rest of the race.
I really hope you reconsider Tim and put the Spec Rhez on the schedule for the summer. It would really be a shame to lose what in many divers opinions, including mine, is the most fun series.
