Laguna Seca

That was a fun race!

In qualifying I made mistake of hitting ESC and coming back on the track. Tim tried to move me to the back but the command wasn't working. So on the start after the finish line I pulled into the grass to let field by. Had fun and challenging time making my way through the field.

Had really good battle with Scott for 3rd mid race. Fallowed him into the pit at lap 17. Came back out right where we went in, bumper to bumper. Again we had really good battle! Then Scott made little mistake putting two tires in dirt allowing enough time for me to get by.

The rest of the race I spent hot lapping to try and catch Mike and Fernando witch had a pretty good gap from rest of field.

I was pleased to get a top 10 finish here. I was still fiddling with my setup even after qualifying, and at the start of the race I was not happy with the feel of the car. My solution was to crank the rear wing up to 30. That allowed me to drive more aggressively.

The first few laps of the race were very intense. I got bumped off the track early and lost about 3 positions. I was in 12th place at the first pit stop. My tires had plenty of life left so I did not take new tires. I exited the pit in 14th with a few cars in front of me with about a 4 second gap. I could not close the gap for the longest time. Finally in the last few laps I found an opening to pass David Fridley and Andrew Peeler as they were fighting for position. I managed to hold onto 9th place despite intense pressure from David. Nice driving guys!

I wasn't looking forward this track. I do not like it, even though it's one of my home tracks that I have visited in person. When it comes to sim raceing here something alway's goes wrong. Last night was no exception, even though I had my best finish here.

I gained a few spots in the pits by not taking tires. But this left me a sitting duck when Larry A. came up to challange. I tryed not to race Larry to hard, figuring he was on new tires and from quily he had more speed here then I. Too bad he made a couple shifting error's that cost him a top 5 finish. Fun racing with you Larry! :-)

I'm always off the pace here and the corner before the uphill is my nemesis. I can never hit that corner with any consistency!!!! It's my corner lap killer.
I surprised myself with a 6th place qual, 1st of the mustangs.
I got another great start. After 1st lap, I was in 3rd place. Slowly but surely the faster drivers made there way around me till I settled in 5th place. I made my way to the pits on lap 20. Took tires and fuel, 33 sec stop.
Came out of the pits in 6th and within a few laps caught Larry.
I stayed in 5th place with C. Melton hard charging and eating up my 4 sec lead. He caught me on my nemesis corner and got a good run on me up the hill. I had the inside corner heading into the corkscrew and Chris got into my bumper and sent me into the kitty litter. Not sure if you locked them up or just a racing incident? Took about 20 seconds to get out of that stuff. Lost 3 spots and came home 7th. Thats racing.

If you watch the replay you locked up and turned into my lane running across my front bumper causing me to get penalized-i held my line the whole time. You tried to hard to defend but you did come out the winner in this battle.

Great race but man i really dislike this track. Maybe all the repetition from damn iRacing. But must say i did enjoy this race. I wasn't expecting a great finish but was very pleased to grab a top 5. Was running as high as 3rd but just couldn't hold up Jarrod long. He was pressing hard and was only a matter of time. But the racing there was great and clean. I must thank him for racing me clean. He had many opportunities to push me off the road and didn't disrupt my race once. So thanks for the great time. Just feeling bad i held you up so long as you would have probably won it. You were insanely fast. Big congrats to Fernando on the win. Thanks again guys for a great race.

Well, it's been an intresting race, I'd like to apologise to Ryan Robbins for hitting him twice, and spining him once. It was not intentional, but I was a bit nervous and lost my braking point(great drive to pos 9). Other than that, the standard setup doesn't work very good on this track because at the end of the stint the front tires were red and I just didn't have the pace to challenge more people. Looking forward to longbeach, hopefully I'll learn to set my car up a bit :).
