Congrats to podium, and specially all finishers.

My few practise time (about one hour) prooved that I should've done much more than I did. Always at the back of the grid by far, I was surprised to see how top drivers pushed the car in turns I'd have never imagined.

Start was risky as the car in front of me didn't move and I slightly touched his RR tire with my frotn wing. First 2 laps were my best reward from this race. Simon and Colin cheered up my first turns until I did an offtrack at high speed, almost top it and, coming back to track, ended facing the wrong direction close to a guardrail. Luckly no one was hurt but me & my front wing.

Took me ages to get out of there (2 laps I think) and, after my second visit to the slippery grass, which I recoverd quite quick, decided to put "granny mode" on and cruised until the end of the race not taking many risks.

Monaco, here I come !!

12 is good considering I had 84 sec stop when I pitted.

NEVER want to go back to that track ever!

Ok I nearly red flagged it due to the guys stuck on the grass, but I can honestly say when I tried this track out I really did not appreciate or experience the spinny grass syndrome. However I did during the race.

We chatted as admins about red flagging but kept going, and indeed looking back we had more retirees at Kyalami last week, so I feel that vindicates the decision.

I appreciate the field was more spread but several including myself managed to get going again. Several including the usual suspects managed to race with little issue, as they stayed on track. However from that perspective lesson learned on trying new tracks out and will check the grass in future, given the track designer did not expect such issues.

Race wise settled in, picked up places until I lost the (you tell me how many) latest front wing, then got stuck on T2 losing a heap of places.

Grats to Barney again on the win, apologies for the issues, but there will be no moaning about grass next week!

That was crap; I qualified 6th or 7th which was better than expected, took it easy at the start and was running in 5th/6th for the first 4 laps. Sam was flying up behind me and I knew I could not compete and was focusing on a clean race so happily let him through going into the last series of corners before the straight.

Lap 5 I caught up with Colin who was a lap down and it took me almost a lap to get past - this allowed a recovering Jack to catch up. I overtook Colin down the main straight and Jack attacked into T1 and T2 of lap 6; Jack I must say that I thought your approach was aggressive and would ask that next time you be a bit more patient - I was racing you for position and you punted Colin off the track and then proceded to knock into me into T2; then going along the straight before T3 you also came accross - I was on the inside and had to back off to stop from hitting you.

Anyway I stuffed up the next corner, clipped the curb and went to the "grass". The upside to this was I tagged the back of a stranded Boyd which seemed to help him out. I was stuck and pissed off so I pressed esc.

PS - Well done to Barney - AGAIN!!!!!

Well i enjoyed this a little more than i expected.

Qual had the lap in me to get pole but got stuck behind a slower car when i was .8 up in S2 on my previous best then next lap was on for another fast lap and misjudged my braking into the double right going up the hill. so ended up 4th which wasnt to bad.

Race got an average start and had cars either side of me but kept my place going into T2 then Zak made a mistake and i took 3rd then something happened to Jack and i was in P2 and keeping a nice steady gap to Barney. then with about 12 minutes to go i clipped the kerb coming over the hill spun and hit the wall damaging my car real bad, so made a pitstop 118.5 seconds :O. came out in P12 then just set about gaining as many places as possible ended up P10.

Apologies to Barney for hitting him on the last lap but i had nowhere to go he was sideways as i come over the hill.

Thanks to all those that i was lapping you were really good.

As i said i enjoyed this cya all in Monaco :D

Another disappointing race. Had a great Q and started 5th. Then i drove very carefully for the first couple laps and fell back to 8th. I was able to make up those spots then and find myself in a position where as long as i keep it on the track ill bring it home 6th. Well of course while running 6th i decide to go a little to close to the edge of the curb and spit it around into the wall. Into the pits I go and 110 seconds later im running 15th. After a couple of people drop out i bring it home 11th. Auh to the race that could have been.

I got taken out on lap 2 by someone who was a lap down rejoining the track.

Sums it all up really.

Phil Perkins Not you mistake mate I was trying to pass another car he must not have seen me and drove into me twice second time I was sideways when you arrived I had a tough time getting passed some cars tonight "lapped" but it was a hard track to move of line

Phil also I let you pass late on as you seemed to be battling for position and I was just taking it easy to get to the finish

Great job all who finished unlucky to those who were involved in other peoples issues

The qualifying was really good and got a P7 which might have been a little higher if I hadn't screwed it up on my last lap.

About the race there is not a lot to mention really, I had a great start and was side0by-side with Phil but I left some room and nearly touched the wall on the main straight so decided to slow a little and not crash on lap 1. Then I had to keep 2 drivers behind me who were a lot faster but because my car was sliding a bit too much the couldn't get next to me.. (sorry for that but I know the reason why it happened). Then just after the first split my throttle was open full and the car went to the left when I hit the brakes. I hit the wall and the throttle stayed open so the car was against the wall overheating the engine and going to head back on track and I couldn't do anything about it. I hit escape about 7 times and nothing happened then I got stuck on the kerb as the car was still sliding towards the track.

I hope I didn't cause too much problems at that point but I think at least 1 or 2 drivers crashed/went into the grass because of me. I'm very sorry about that but I tried all to get out of the way and off the track in total.

When I finally managed to get a working escape after 7 minutes or so and about 6 laps down my engine already died and I went into the garage.

I hope the next event will bring me a little more luck in the race.
