1 Hour of Sebring

What a start...It was nice... I managed to steal 1st. place by T-1...Though it was not the correct start, it was fun too... Once I caught up with the NAGT cars, I slightly touched a NAGT car that went to the curb, but the contact was enough to send him to brush the wall...I did the "Drive-Thru" and that cost me the race... Couldn't catch Will nor Zak... Maybe the finish would have been much closer, Top 3 is nice too... :)

That was a lot of fun. 2 guys lost it ahead of me at the start, I slid up to 4th, and that was the end of it. Caught Omar during his drive thru but he was back on his way shortly. Lots of fun trying to manage the gap back to Ed though- one mistake and he'd have caught me.

I was real nervous lapping the NAGTs the first time, fouled up my line and brushed the back of one but everyone kept it together, which was good.

Sorry if I dive-bombed anyone, especially in turn 2. I never meant to but it was tough trying to gauge the closing speed in a couple spots. But everyone worked together really well out there. I didn't have my headlights mapped to a button so I couldn't do the thank you flashies, but thanks anyway.

I knew at the beginning I would have to save fuel to do a no-stopper. I was surprised to leave a few guys behind while I was taking it slow. About halfway, I see one name making his way up the leaderboard, gaining ground on me every turn. Jeremy just layed back and waited until everyone elses tires started to go off, and then he picked up the pace. Great exhibition of extreme patience Jeremy. I would have never been able to keep my head in it going so far down from the leaders. You showed me though that it can be done. Grats on the win! Grats to all the podium finishers as well.

haha look at all the names here. Further evidence that the novice series is anything but.

Considering the lap times are 3+ seconds slower then the "Pro", maybe you should look at that and not the names

I was so happy. Great mod. Great track. I was going to be patient. I suck at the sports car thing, and this novice class was the perfect place to learn. Tested everything with the mod, since my whole life I thought if you connect to the server without mismatches all is kosher. Funnily enough, as I was shoving cookies in my mouth sitting in the server I overread Tim saying something to someone about "be careful because the server will boot you if you are not good with this or that"... ah, but I am all good, look! so I kept popping the cookies. Then just before qualy some funny stuff happened-- I was still connected but I had a Gmotor2 error map loaded. Clicked okay, crashed, restarted. Then Qualy started and ...I was booted. I tried again but same problem I tried to reinstall but I could not make it on time. So disapointed. And probably will get dinged for not showing up for the race.
Great series anyway, and great format. Maybe I will make it to some future ones...

Even now I'm not sure why or when the race start was changed to a standing start? The series page states races are formation lap & rolling start.
At the light countdown I selected 1st and touched the gas which immediateley gave me a DT and a 1,000,000 fine - I reckon Admin should pay that one!!

Because of that I hit from behind and was then way back into T1. Then avoiding cars ahead whilst braking going toward T2, the car turned sideways on the cold tyres into the barriers - my BAD. Net result after the DT was 22nd place. A big shame as I'd run 2nd consistently in practice\qualy and felt I could get a podium with careful driving,as there was going to be a lot of passing with the 2 classes together.

Surprisingly the car felt OK even with the front, side & rear damage, so I decided not to stop for repairs. I worked back up to 4th before stopping and stayed on the same tyres. I managed to catch Ed but lost out when lapping thro a couple of mistakes and so 6th place was as far as I got.

Got to say that I really, really enjoyed this race and hopefully didn't cause the GT cars any problems during passing. Grats to Zak, William and Omar :) and everyone who got to the end, which was 99% of us. What happened to Sam as I saw he was running 8th or 9th at one time?

Don't be jealous Justin! :P... Some of us lost the 4+ rank in last series, so this is the only one we can join at this time... Maybe if you drop your rank down you can join us... lol... :)

Made a terrible start. Watched Ken briefly jump it and then Omar came flying by and I hit the wall exiting turn 1 which let William by. First few laps felt like I had setup a totally different car as it understeered everywhere and the front two got away slightly but I eventually caught back up and got past and pulled away a bit for my pit stop.

After pit stops drove a bit more cautiously to help the tyres as they were quite bad at the end of the first run and managed not to make a mistake in the last stint and got my second win of the weekend. :-)

ok guys it was quite an eventful 1st race for me. i found it akward that theere was no formation lap but i was fast so i really didnt care. i botched the restart and lost plenty of time. on lap 2 i hit ralph ever so slightly but damn i was getting impacient. you are a great blocker. i gave him his spot back and was way back in the pack. i had to rush myself and was using up fuel. i knew i needed to pit but i was just going to do a stop n go but i put in way to much fuel.this blew my 30 second lead and i finished 3rd. im gunna try to post a screenshot for this one hope it works.
