Anderstorp Open

It's been a very long dry season. Grats GP and podiums and survivors. Thanks also to fellow racers for giving room when necessary. Tracy was quickest nGT out there but apparently on lighter fuel load. This track do eat tyres.

what a waste of time..i get hit on the formation lap spun got hit by another car, wasn't sure who it was. Went to the pits for 40 seconds got repairs and tires , came out by then was almost a minute behind the lead cars. Car was running like crap until the engine blew randomly. Very disappointing. Congrats to the podium.

Grats Johan and GP.A possible better finish stuffed by an already occupied pitstall.

Nice drive Johan. When you lapped me I thought I'd stay with you for as long as I can,which worked to a degree, when you lapped a car I would also try my luck. But you were too quick.

I spun twice on the first lap, very dissappointing, and in one case got stuck on a kerb .... grrrrrr That's what happens if you've never practiced with the harder tyres on a full load!! Worked back from the very back, twice, and the perseverence paid off. Sort-of ... Apologies to Miguel, coming from the back I had to pass him twice, due to my second spin. Hope it didn't throw your race off Miguel.

Coming round the last corner for the chequered flag, had settled for 9th, and lo and behold, 8th was in the pits. That's rotten luck! Didn't affect my nGT position though.

Firstly, I'm sorry, Mr. Crash I'm the one who hit you after you were punted sideways on the back straight on the f-lap.

I hurried over to this event from the WTC at Zandvoort event. Missed practice and joined in the middle of qualifying. I failed to get a clean lap in and started last. I figured I was okay, it's a long race. So I thought...

Well, during the formation lap coasting out of turn 1, I noticed my pedals were out of whack. So I took my eyes of my monitor for a split second. Major mistake, because as soon as I looked back they're was car completely sideways right in front of me and I kissed him in the front heavily, ruining his race and mine. What can I say?

Saw the replay, there was some questionable behavior by Angel Robles That caused this little mishap. What were you thinking buddy? After pitting I was already getting swallowed up by the front runners on Lap 2.
I managed to get out of everybody's way okay, I think. I called it a day after few more laps. The race was ruined for at that point.

Before the race I did some testing and that showed me a one-stopper here would be difficult for the M3 with tirewear at 2x. I calculated the race on being 49 laps so I did my stops after 17 and 33. That all worked out very well from 2nd overall on the grid. The race was 100% trouble free which was something I really needed that after the "technical" problems in the Sportscar championship. Grats to Johan on the win in nGT and to the rest of the podiums.

i dunno what you had to prove Robles but what happaned yesterday was totally unacceptable..i've watched the replay and you had tons of space on the main straight but still managed to ram into me. I feel bad for Colin because i wreaked his race as well. Hope next week is better for both are sakes.

Late posting but figured I'd throw my two cents in. The qualifying lap was fine - seemed like the porka was setup well...but i'm not good at the pit stop strategy so I figured that's where I would loose it.

I took medium tires and full fuel, intending only to get fuel once but my tires got pretty badly worn...I wasn't sure how long to wait to pit, but when my times began to climb above the 133 range pretty consistently I pitted.

Unfortunately, I ended up with 4 pit stops and driving like hell to catch up between them all...I'm thinking either the mediums were too soft or the way I had the car setup just allowed them to be eaten to bits in 10-12 laps.

It was a fun race - nice to be back and nice to finish 4th. At least I ran consistently for the most part and I found the backmarkers all very cooperative. I think in the closing stages I was too agressive into T1 and closed the door on Greg or Maurice and they tapped the right rear and I spun...racing incident that i'm glad didn't ruin their race I was overly optimistic so sorry about that.

Now - if I can only figure out this damn pitstop thing...
