Great race tonight guys. Prac I was turning 15's. Qual I ran 14.8 and was 5th
MArk P and Kev where smoking hot tonight.
Start: I got a great start and took 1st turn in 3rd place. HAd some early pressure but withstood the heat. Stretched lead to about 5 secs and was 5 secs behind Kev and Mark. I collected the outside wall in t3 around lap 20 and Tom D passed. Ran a few laps behind him. I pitted around lap 25 and came out in 4th with Mike K and Jim P about 8 secs back and Tom D about 5 secs up. The rest of the race was just about maintaining 15's and 16's. Something happened to Kev and I was handed 3rd place and finished in that postion. Nice solid run with only 1 brain fart. See you guys in a few weeks.

Well another race another fiasco with cars not showing and the machine gun sound (fainter) is still there even after deleting the supposed culprit. Frustrating but maybe life is telling me to just bag this hobby. I am using the low res files, a mix of things turned down, and when I run by myself in practice I am getting 115 fps in the garage so it has to be a connection issue. Oh well - I wish you all the best....

On another note. This has got to be one of the worst formation laps I've ever seen on R2P. If a car passes you in formation lap, DO NOT WORRY, you will get your spot back at the end of the formation lap. I swear one car took out half the field just on the formation lap. Maybe a bad connection?

First lap and everyones playing bumper cars. Wow, lol, I couldn't stop laughing on some of the driving here. Some of you guys just scare the crap out of me almost taking out the field. Patience is a virtue and some of you guys need it. Anyways, always fun racing these cars with you guys. Sorry for the lecture.

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I didnt see a single car on my screen until the end of the formation lap. That may have been what was going on Johhny. The warp was aweful again tonight!
Just before the race started, I got the "begin formation lap" message lol.

Lol, always a good thing when I'm still able to make a quick move to avoid a sudden obstacle - this time poor Johnny! hehe

My race was going really good (for a change) w/out any major mistakes. I thought I had my 7th place in the bag while keeping a close eye on Sheldon who would push real hard and make me work extra hard to maintain a cushion between us.

With the timer ticking down, I realized I was going to be short on my fuel strategy so started short-shifting and finally letting off sooner to try and save gas.

Well, remember Sheldon, he was still there making my last few laps miserable! (it would have been fun if I wasn't running out of fuel!lol)

With a lap and a half to go I made my 1st and last major driving mistake doing a tank slapper right in front of a now salivating Sheldon, giving him my hard fought 7th place!

Lol, you worked hard for it too, congrats on your 7th place finish.

I don't know why I've been having so much crappy luck lately, with most of my races ending in big fat DNF's!!!

Wish "almost" counted in more than horse-shoes! haha

I got a great start and was able to slot into 8th place after turn one and run the first stint with any really issues. The battle between Dan and myself was great, i still dunno how you managed to pull off that pit lane pass. Your stop was very fast but I guess I know now you were short on fuel so that got you out in front. That second stint was a lot of fun, we were running together the whole time and I was trying hard to catch you. I got lucky on your mistake but I'll take it!!

My car just wasn't running as good as I hoped. I was able to do low 16s in practice but in the race I had a hard time doing 16s at all. But i think I figured out how to dial out my braking problem and I can brake really deep now and pretty stable.

Horrible race for me. I hit the wall on the first or second lap and the engine caught on fire. Out of the race. Oh well. Back to the drawing board with a setup for this car.

I kind of figured that Tom. It happened to me that last event. I backed off because you were running a bit odd and lost 2 positions right off the bat. Otherwise my race went fairly well. Glanced the wall just once. I had just installed the track about 30 mins before I enterd the server, so without any practice at all, I'll take a 6th.

Abismal outing for the KPax Porsche. While I dropped .2 seconds off the pace from my previous outing here, many, many others improved their performance. I really think I'm at the limits of the Porsche. I will have to spend countless hours trying to develop setups to try to keep pace with the Vettes.

The stewards must have thought a low power car and 50 lbs ballast wasn't enough of a handicap so they decided to start me from pit lane. The light decided to go green a full 30 seconds after the field streamed by. But that wasnt' enough... the stewards decided to dance on my ass. DISCO!

I guess we all will have our bad nights and each will have their share of disco's. With that said, they are still difficult to swallow.

Despite the server performance weighing on my mind, I had a pretty good race. I battled early with Tom Depke, trailing him closely for the first 7 laps or so. We each had a couple of corners where one of us was better, and it seemed to vary lap to lap as the tires wore in. I was going to need a really good run on a corner, otherwise I would never hold him off on the following straight because the Vette seemed to have an advantage once the speeds got high enough. So I was having a hard time finding a place to get alongside. I tried a few times to set him up on T1 for a pass in T2. Finally I got a nose in, but it wasn't enough to own the spot- as Tom came in for T2, I tightened left as much as I could, caught a little too much of the bump strips, and around I went. Fortunately we had built enough gap that I kept my spot, but catching up was going to be tough. Didn't see much of anyone else until my pit cycle. Eventually settled out in 5th, not sure who dropped down, then 4th when I came upon Kevin moving painfully slow, from damage I assume. Was feeling pretty good at that point, and wondering if I might catch up to Bryce in 3rd, when I started seeing Jim in my rearview. I was pushing a bit too hard to see if I could make any gains, so instead I went a little backwards, and Jim hounded me for most of the second stint. That was a nice patient piece of driving- Jim got alongside me once and we ran a few corners side by side until he finally backed out, and waited for a better run on me a couple of laps later. We again went side by side for a few corners, but this time it was me that backed out. You know it was good racing when I've still got a grin on my face after being passed! That was with only a couple of laps to go, and I had nothing left for Jim after that.
