LMPC: Barcelona 380k

Went in to do my pitstop & nothing happened,end of race,complete waste of time.
Could anyone explain why this happened?

What a disaster for me, after 1 hour race got a DQ because it seems I didn't know how to make an stop&go (or it didn't count my stop&go, not sure).

Did my pitstop for fuel and I got one stop&go penalty for speeding in the pitlane (didn't drop enough speed before entering the pit), then went for my penalty the following lap: stopped at my pitstall, waited for 10 secs, but the black flag was still there.

OK, let's go again for another stop&go: same thing, stopped, stated no serve needed, back to track, but the flag was still there.

Third try and last chance: this time I just went thru the pits without stopping: disqualyfied. Was I doing something wrong, or the pits weren't working well?

Appart from this sad result, I made no mistakes at all but a couple incidents in race (was spun twice, second time dropped from P8 to P14).

Conclusion of this first race: gotta check the stop&go procedure and take a better car for next one: everyone was faster than me in the straight !!

ARGH! Got a stop and go for speeding. Hit pitlane, got to my box and fogot what to hit to leave the box without any service. I thought it might be the esc button. WRONG! End of my race right there. I really like this mod, and will be much better prepared to race come the next event.

Doh! Sharing a pitstall with Ari put a damper on a podium finish. But happy to take 4th. Long, challenging race.

Edit: Happy to see a diverse field and not a spec Audi R8 race. Quite a few Bentleys were upfront during the first stint.

That was a blast! These cars are more twitchy than a meth addict looking for next fix! I had decided to pull out of race because I did not have anytime to practice, but found a few minutes last night to test and was surprised to find that the Pesca was drivable for me.

Damage occurred as part of some early contact with two different cars that may have been a bit eager to resume racing after spinning that I think broke my front splitter because I could not find any front down.force for the next 38 laps. I think my car simply wanted to have no front downforce because right after pitting (and repairing for extra 26 seconds), the front splitter became damaged on out lap. I have no idea whom I made contact with during those opening laps but no worries on my side at least.

I was very pleased to see Bob running so close to the lead, I was sorry to see that it ended due to accidental esc key press.

This will be a fun season!

Risked taking slicks in quali after they worked in GT in the damp, it was the right choice and I got more confidence as the session went on, finally putting in a good enough lap for 2nd.
Then I threw all that away by spinning coming out of the final corner on the rolling start. I was watching Ari so intently that I just had a lapse and put the throttle in too quick, then I was onto the rumbles and the car just did a 180 right in front of the pack. Really sorry for that, luckily I got out of the way of most of you pretty quickly, just blocked a Bentley, hope the impact didn't damage you.
Then there was a pile up in the track at the SF line and I was hit from behind when I swerved to avoid it. That was just one of those things, got going again in 15th and unbelievably the car was pretty good.
Had alot of fun from then on, I was quicker than most guys in a straight line so passing on the straight wasn't a problem. Most important spell was just after the pit, taking Martin for 2nd, after that I just tried not to throw it away again. These cars punish you for the slightest lapse in concentration and I still had a couple more self-induced problems but luckily nothing bad enough to lose 2nd again.

Start was disco with all the cars slowing down, managed through it safely, after that had a normal race except with francisco, oh, had to do an unpredictable stop cause my blatter couldn't hold more, that's why i was stopped on the side of the road, so i had to give up P5 to M. Richard!!!

I practiced my arse off for the LMP race, hour after hour, last night and this morning.

So come qualy I just run a wheel off while my tyres are still cold and get sucked in the sand and I'm stuck well and truly stuck, shit does it have to simulate the sand quite so well!!

Anyway never mind, I would probably have qualified well back in any case, right, so not to worry!

Come the race I'm on the warm up lap and I loose my feckin force feedback, I mean come on !!!

These cars are difficult enough to keep on the road but FF is absolutely essential.

Things went a little weird in qual: I couldn't see anyone and the weather stayed the same as in practice. After 2 laps I pitted and rejoined the server. That did the trick, I now noticed it was damp. I went out and on my flying lap I had big trouble passing Michael - I was invisible to him. When I managed it, I got a nudge in the next corner. On my very last chance I was just trying to take it easy, and secure a decent grid position, but the time was enough for pole.

Then in the rolling start Darren behind me got loose and that allowed me to get a gap immediately. It took a few laps until I was properly settled in, after that everything went great. There was a lot of traffic out there but most of them behaved predictably and I had no trouble then.

I uploaded my setup in case someone would want to try it. Not sure if I'll be doing more races but if so, I'll be taking something else than Audi.

First, sorry to Francisco for spinning you on turn five, I carried to much speed into the turn and could not slow enough. And sorry to Tom for the bump on the last turn. Again, came in to fast on you. My judgement was way off this race. I was trying all week, into the early morning hours last night, to get my RFactor going. so I did not get the practice I wanted for this race. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it! lol
