I'm so mad at myself!

First of all, this is the first I've finished in a while, so I am happy there.

However, I was running on fuel mileage the whole time, I knew I had the race won. If I hadn't have stretched too thin, ran out on the back, then killed the car 2 pit stalls away. I sat for 15-30 seconds cussing, then realized the car would still move if turned off and in neutral (good tip!). Then, I forgot to turn the car back on after the stop. I was 2 laps down to Scott and 2.7 down to Frids, knowing they had to pit again and I didn't...I thought I had a chance.

Well, 2nd place 14 seconds behind isn't bad. If it weren't for my mistakes I calculated I would have won by like 2 laps. Oh well, was an awesome race for everyone and congrats to David again!

Sorry JR you and me both had a good car.I lead a few laps me you and fran had a nice little battle few laps in.On a re-start i spun the tires to much little a dum dum lol and was behind.I didnt get a lap down but i ran out of gas.I missed pitroad locked the tires up and went into the grass and had no gas.But it was very fun.

What can I say? I was competitive, felt good and a contender-- just like Indy last week. Only this time when I pitted towards lap 120 nothing happened: the crew did not do anything. Tried sliding into my stall, reversing, anything for 3minutes but the crew just wouldn't change the tires and refuel. An incredible racing experience ruined by a bug.

I think Scott T had the same bug. The only thing I could think of to do would be to drive around the track and come back into the pits. But if you are low on fuel then that would prob not work to well.

Fran, to the best of my knowledge that happens only if you enter pit lane incorrectly. There are specific points that your car must travel while entering pit lane or your crew will still consider you out on the track. This prevents people from cutting across the grass infield (or worse) to enter pits.

What a race. Its so much fun to see such an even field, resulting in lots of passing and intense racing.

Its too bad for your problems Francesco. I hated to see ya go out like that. Especially after you had been in contention all night and did a great job keeping clean, minus that lap 1 spin of course! ;)

It would have been neat to see how our strategies may have panned out at the end there if none of us had issues. We all did but I guess I had the least which gave me the win, even though I thought I lost it to JR but when he passed me while I spun coming out of the pits, I found out it was to get his lap back and not to take the lead.

I hope the fields begin to increase in size as having 15+ cars would be a blast! Hopefully the 2.0 version of the mod combined with the manual cautions will improve interest.

I must say for the most part... that was one of the more fun sim racing experiences i've had yet. Got pushed into the wall early on. received quite a bit of damage. But thanks to the caution i was able to repair it and get back out. Was a bit slower. thats sucks cuz i had a car i could up front when i needed to et there. But gas mileage was not well this race. I was surprised that JR didn't need to stop again. Well done man it got you into a great spot. But all in all the racing was superb. I was constantly on the wheel. Not much time to relax there. It made it insanely fun. What a great time. Just wished we had a full field.

Fran sorry to see what happened. You surely had a great car and i'm sure you could have challenged for the win. very sorry what happened.

Even though i had a couple of first for myself this was a very disappointing race. first the good, first pole, and fastest lap for the race. now the bad. i started the race knowing this was a long race and planned on staying in the back of the lead pack for a while. well this is what i did untill someone deceided to make a left while going down the straight away and nailed into me. this sent me flying through the grass and into the wall. then after i pit to fix the damage i was messing with the controls and pass a couple cars under caution, black flag. when it was all said and done i was 4 laps down. I just set my car up for fuel millage at that point and finished the race in 4th. doesn't sound like a bad finish but knowing that i had the fastest car its a let down.

Mistery solved then, and thanks Tim. When I made that bloody pit-stop, I got her down to pit-speed limit and on the limiter, but I know for a fact that I got my right front wheel on the grass-- that's gotta be it. I did not have enough fuel to go around and try again, but I never thought that right tire on the grass was the culprit. Well, at least I know it was my fault, and not some random luck thing-- although I still think my crew is a bunch of drunken sods for not having figured that their idiot star driver was in the pitlane in front of their lolly-pop. I knew I should have kept the vodka away from those two dypsomaniacs.
