Congrats finishers! Was a real Mike-fest out there!

As for me, fire my crew chief! I was cruising well in second, waiting for my crew to tell me to come in for fuel, but they must have been snoozing and never gave me the call. Too bad, I was looking forward to tangling with Mike Campbell, who was a scant 7 seconds behind, and lord knows that kind of time can disappear easily in the pits.

One more race and it's back to school, hopefully we'll have something new and interesting to drive by then!

Well done Mike & Miguel. This is a tough track for me, always on the edge. Had a good start but Bryce caught up to me before the end of the 1st lap. I tapped Les in the 2nd lap (sorry) & let him by. Caught up to him after he went off track - lucky for me. Kept a steady pace & eventually moved up because of all the DNFs. Pitted with 12 minutes to go, only fueling up & no tire change but when it was time to go, the damn car wouldn't start. I lost a few precious seconds I needed to stay in front of Miguel. I came out with him just 6 seconds in front of me. Just didn't have enough time & tires to catch up to him.
I'm fairly new to this racing stuff but I feel that I'm learning with every race & slowly getting better.

It is a pity that this time I was unable to prepare. I trained only one hour, but only after qualification have guessed, that used as base setup for IROC! o_O
On a Warmup has loaded standard setup for WB and has adjusted it to the hastily. An annoying mistake - I so love these old Porsches, and a decent competition could not make. :(
The second place - result me surprised, considering circumstances. ;)

A challenging car on an exciting, yet difficult track. So many blind turns and a lot of elevation change. I was fortunate to find a great setup online since I've never driven the wide body 911. I used Mark Peeler's setup from Road America. Right out the box, it was good. I simply made some small gearing, shock and spring tweaks to tailor the car to my liking.

I was oh so close to a 33 in practice. I was hoping to get it in quali, but my run was too wild. I should have taken the smooth aproach instead.

Bryce showed some speed early, but then must have over driven the car with the DNF. From then on, the race got a bit lonely. I concentrated on hitting my marks and keeping the sun out of my eyes. I had 1 moment where I dropped 4 wheels at pit in 5 laps before my scheduled stop. I decided now looked like a good time to pit.

The long events are with a pit stop create another challenge with pit strategy. The entire race I thought someone would pip me there. Great race and congrats to the other Mike's.

I hadn't practice an ounce for this race (summer racing...too much to do) Wish I had, because after the hint on the coast setting from Les(thanks Les), car was manageable and I was turning 35's. I qual'd 2nd, but just couldn't find a sweet spot in a couple of the brake zones.
At the start, I couldn't see the lights, so I waited for the timer. I must of blinked because Mike C took off like a rocket. I caught Mike c and started to gather in MM. I was 2 secs behind MM and found a few area's on the track I would chop off some time. I turned a few 34's chasing MM but was driving to hard. I was trying to late brake and in doing so, I was losing my tail under heavy braking. Trail braking these porka's is TUFF!!!! A few extended slides and the 2 sec gap became 4 secs with Mike K now only a few secs back. Trying to make up time again produced another extended slide and Mike K passed. I now tried to settle iin and just turn consistent laps. HAHAHAHA I found a big ol tire barrier and the car caught fire. End of my race.

For some reason, I luv this track. A very nice comboof corners and straights. I luv the 2 corkscrews.

wish i was there guys...i was able to do some practice just in case i could make it.
