GTN: Mid Ohio

I'm really dissapointed about this race in particular and about the behaviour of certain drivers I've met on track recently in general.

Surprisingly I got pole in qualy thanks to a wet track or I would've never had the pace to get pole (my PB was low 18s with a full tank), but I kew I wasn't gonna keep P1 at start as I don't have a clutch pedal and the Salen is too powerful to cluth with a wheel button, so I was happy to be still third in the straight after T1 in the first lap.

But then approaching T2 Adam Rouse did a very _aggressive_ braking to get the inside and, although I kept on the outside to avoid contact, he had forced it so much that _he couldn't keep himself on the inside_, went a bit wide, got into my line and forced me into a punt that made me serve a drive-thru going back on track at P12. In my opinion, that's putting other drivers into unnecesary risk only after two turns of the first lap of a long race.

The when I was climbing up to P9 Conduruta rushed me out of the track, loosing again five places. And finally, when speeding up after T1 I run into Ken Jagger's car. It seems he had gone offtrack and was doing some strange maniouvres on the edge of the kerb to get back to track (!!). Actually he was facing the opposite direction when I crashed into his bonnet resulting in a dead engine and end of my race.

Grats to whoever won. I'd like to tell other drivers to be a bit more careful, not taking unnecesary risks at the first turns of a 1 hour race that may force other drivers punt you, or make your maniouvres to go back on track away from the edge, you put into risk drivers that are racing legally on track.

Anyway, yours was not the worst part of my race: I could still be on track after that contact.

Francisco I think your talking silly when you say aggressive. You had a bad start and I got stuck behind you, then on the run down to the 2nd corner I was side by side and you braked early, I took the line but you didnt want to give it up, thus spining me round and making me a punch bag for others. If you have a problem appeal.

Congrats to David for the series title, bad way for me to lose it but thats life.

What a disaster.
First the qualy. Sunshine but the track was wet?! WTF

Tryed all tyres, but i didn't get the result i wanted. Ok well, whatever.

Then the race. I made a bad mistake on an early lap, i hit the curb, spin into the barrier and hat to pit in. I took 2min to fix the car. But still i had to pit again because the fuel didn't last till the end. Foxtrot Unicorn race.

But I am really looking foward for the next novice season.

i watched the replay again and i remembered it :)
i saw you a bit on the inside and there was a space on the normal racing line so i went for it just as you turned to take the ideal line .. but i wasn't enough alongside to claim i had the right to be there .. also live it appeared to be a bigger space that it actually was .. i should've been more careful

Sheez, what a race. I had some seriour ergonomic issues, and I had to park it on the side of the track to pull my pedals out from where they had moved to. Also my first drive with my new wheel, and it has taken some gettng used to.
To Tomi, apologies for the punt at T2. I was watching the guys behind me and missed my brake point. Sorry. I waited for you, and then we came together again about 10 laps later, but I had the line and you were all over the show after having taking a small excursion. Apologies if that was a hard pass, I thought it was fair.

Then it was just a case of staying on to the finish. Jammed it into the wall a few more times(damn new brake pedal!!), and then drove on with a funny handler. But was very lucky, and with some late pitters and accidents I made it up to 7th.

There were a couple of drivers who weren't really considering drivers lapping them, but fortunately no accidents.

Ugh. Disconnect from 10th place in my best GTR2 race ever.

Horrible qualifying as usual in the wet. No big deal, long race. Turn 1 and 2 were both chaos, especially 2. Cars were everywhere, and the Ferrari in front of me was a little laggy and kinda jumping around. I wound up helping him turn himself around so I took the drive through and came back on in 17th.

Carnage all around, and the field was sorting itself a little since the rain scrambled the start order a little bit. From there on out, I ran super consistent, competed well with people I don't normally run with, and was as high as 8th before a couple faster guys got back where they belonged.

Perfect pit stop, opened a gap on a couple guys who were a hair faster, and I think I could have held them both off for 8th or 9th in the waning laps, when I started getting funny blue flag warnings and then...Connection Lost.

This one stings a little. But it does give me some confidence going into season 10, see you guys out there.

Adam, why should I give up? Do you have better right than me to stay on track in that turn or in race in general?

Or is it that once a driver gets the inside line thanks to an overbraking situation that will surely put himself into the other driver's line, that driver automatically has the right to go wide and push the other driver out of track "if he doesn't want to give up"?

I'd like to know if I'm allowed to push other drivers out in an outbrake. I think if anyone wants the inside and manages to get it, he should stick to it.

Anyway, race is over and I'm not a relevant driver, so there's not point in going into it any further. I'm sorry you lost your chance to fight for championship.

i made fantastic qualify finish 5th

but the race was terrible lots 5 or 6 positions on first lap

then someone hit from the back and then start the problems

the cars doesn't turn well and i made a lot of mistakes because of that and also lost a lot of time

and in the end nothing to do any more just lost complete my direccion
