GTN: Brno

Wasn't exactly the result I wanted, but a great race never-the-less.

With the exception of 2 mistakes my race was pretty clean. I raced with D Brown for several laps and it was great racing. He tapped my back-end and then let me back by and we continued on.

I pitted and came out in 8th. Fought my way back to 7th, and was right on the back bumper of another car coming out of the final corner of the last lap. Wish I could of gotten by.

This race had an horrible start with lots of car crashes. I was starting from P15 but was punted, lost control and hit myself another mate. When I could regain control a Saleen was coming back on track without waiting for the traffic to pass and crahed him, so my real start was from P21.

Had nice battles fighting my way back to P15, and when I reached P12 I could be after Sebi for a few laps, both of us gaining positions due to other drivers pitstops. After my pitstop got P12 again and I kept there till the end of the race.

Got a CTD just on exit of the pits in Qualy - seems a going trend thses days :P anyway got back in and just pushed as much as i could given the track position and got 3rd so not too bad considering...

Race got off to a good start, even got alongside Jose after he slipped the wheels slightly but the Saleen was mighty powerful and he soon regained position behind Adam and i had Andrew alongside me going into T1 but after my last race decided to just concede and try later, what a mistake that was :P i got stuck behind him for quite a while and seen Adam just sailing away, i needed to try and outscore him today for the championship title but i kept pushing and trying not to cause an incident between me and Andrew :P i was quicker at that stage but the track is so hard to overtake especialy with the Ferrari being so powerful coming out of the corners, anyway this went on for a while and i just waited until i had a clear overtaking manouver but then going into Turn 5 right-hander i think it was i was following closely and he either lifted or braked slightly (will check out the replay) and i touched him slightly and yes he went around :( end to a great little battle for 3rd so i waited and let him pass at this point i was in 8th or something and battled hard back upto 4th and had a few people give me a hard time in this phase including a shunt up the rear and what looked like in my mirrors going into turn 1 a car almost wiped me out from way back and a car behind me :O

I was pushing as hard as i could and was taking time off Adrian who was leading the race by this point but i knew he was the only real position i could gain by this point and was just waiting for him to pit - but somehow he managed to do the whole race without stopping!! amazing, good on you Adrian for working that one out ;)

So all in all i don`t think i could really have done better than 4th in the end, so happy i did all i could.

Looks like me and Adam will be battling it out at the final round :)

And Phoenix have their first CC trophy :D

Interesting race.

Very rough start, I hit Francisco to the back sorry for that. Later in first lap I missed my braking point and off the track hit Bruno and actually took him out of the race, VERY VERY SORRY Bruno. I nailed my brake pedal to the ground but couldn't avoid you.

So after served penalty I was on last position and try to catch the pack. In lap 8 I had a small contact with Nuno and I ended on my roof. This physics is sometimes very strange.

Try to catch Francisco at the end of the race but he was too far for me, so finish on 12. At least I finished.

Congrats to Jose and all the finishers.

That was a GREAT race! Congrats to the Jose, Adrian and Adam on the podium finishes!!!! After the start I avoided the carnage, and worked my way up to 6th behind Adrian. Concentrated on not making errors and pushing Adrian. It worked ok, I was making up little bit by little bit. Then Andrew and Kovas (I think)(EDIT- it was David) came together, and Adrian and I went through to 3rd and 4th. I thought I had a good chance on a podium if I could just get past Adrian. Then had a small spin, lost time to Adrian but made it up again. Pitted, and once again lost a ton of time, came out in 12th, amd had an awesome dice with Kovas in front with Andrew catching behind, but survived that and worked up to 5th, and was making time on David in 4th. Had about 5 minutes to make up 4 seconds (not impossible, I was nearly on target to make it), and then the race finished early??? WT...? Oh well, I had awesome races with Adrian and Kovas and Sebi as well. And good work on the no pit strategy Adrian! Very clever trick that!!

I thought everyone had the same lag problem I had.

IT WAS UNREAL.
I thought I saw cars off track but the lag wouldn't let me see em.
I had to quit because of it.

The race started good, I had a nice start but then there was carnage and cars all over the place.. I tried to go in a gap that was still there but couldn't avoid a car that was sliding over the track.

Lost quite some time there and a few more seconds when I got tapped a few corners later. Had some nice fights during the race and was pushing hard, which wasn't too good for my tires and I had to slow down before my pitstop.

I was able to go a second faster then my qualy time... So all in all a good race and 3 points in this class for me.

Pretty decent result, this track is so boring you have to exercise your mind at half distance. Did not have a great race setup so to get 3rd is pretty good, 1 ahead of my title rival so 1 round to go its squeaky bum time.

Delighted for our team Phoenix now we have secured our first Constructors title and with a drivers title to add soon, but who will it be?

It's gonna be close, very happy about the Phoenix CC title well deserved due to great driving of Adam and David. Celebration time guy's, let's pop that champagne in the last round.

Good race for myself.
I had no proper practice at all. I set my setup, just before, but i made the back to hard for the race, and i was losing it often. At the beggining of the race the setup and my foot beeing to heavy costed me a spin and falling down to P10.
Otherwise the qualification was going great. It was warmer in the practice before and the softs were heating too much. They lasted for a lap, before the rear was overheater. I am glad the temperature dropped for the qualifications. I got a good time and got 5th starting position. Very satisfying.
I started the ace slowly just following the guy in front of me. I could keep the pace, but was having so much trouble keeping the rear steady. But I did not manage, i spinned ontrack, waited for cople of guys to go by and rejoined the track. I learned my lesson, and i was going easely on the throttle from then.
I went for hard rear and meds on front with a 30min of fuel. Soon I realised, I could choose med for the rear and soft for the front, so for the second stop I changed my tactics only to refuel.
From then on it was more a solitary race, had my fights with Boyd and Andrew, but i was going slower pace because of the tyres. It was OK till the end, except on thing wich I am fileing a complaint today.

BTW some guys are warping with their cars extremely. i think Boyd was one of them. Hard to follow a car doing that :)
