Donington Enduro

Bad day for me... Practice was fine...On qualy my wheel started doing this weird noise....krrrrt, krrrrt...krrrrt, so I just did a few laps, then decided not go out again.......I went out on Warm-up and it was fine...Then onto race, no FFB at all, and the next couple of laps again the noise, krrrrrrt, krrrrrrt.... And all of the sudden the wheel just started moving by itself, left and right, I went to pits with a flat tire and I had to esc out and take the DNF... I just opened it a while ago and the motor is toasted and the gears are destroyed... :( I need to buy a new wheel fast if I can find any...The bad part is that my rank decreased too much and now I'm - 4 so I will not participate next season in this series, but only the Novice, and all because of the last 2 DNF's.... :S

I had a bad quali, very bad :) A lot of traffic and had to pit again due to engine overheating.
But even so I just couldn't have beaten Pablo with his 1 pit strategy. Well done!

First of all SORRY to everyone i hit in stint one... It was dump and my braking line was quite later.. still my fault totally ..

Also sorry to Milan, i went into chicane infont of him and spun and he had to wait, while doing so he lost at least 1 place..

My RS wansnt fast enough here specially after starting last... or was it me hehe... so all i could get was 4th ... Had great battle with Barry in 2nd stint and lost it hehe... nice fight! :)

For myself this race was all in all a forgettable experience.
First, what's with the weather? Quali comes up, rain and damp. Put on wets, slide around like I'm on ice, come back in and I see the weather says bright sunshine???
Same think in warmup. Rain and damp, so I put on inter's, go out on warmup, come back in and the weather says more sunshine. I know the weather in the UK changes, but that's crazy!

First, apologies to Janko for the spin in turn 1. It was the slightest touch, but enough. Sorry. I had a nice line through there, and Janko's line must have been a fraction slower, but everywhere else Janko kicked my butt.

I take my hat off to the guys who race in slower classes! Contending with the faster guys trying to pass is a nightmare. I went off a few times watching them more than my own line. And then there was the driver who decided he didn't like the way the rear of my car looked, so promptly re-arranged it and put me into the wall. I limped back and then carried on.
(EDIT: scathing comments removed, driver explained his position, all good. These things happen.)
To all the faster guys, Pablo, George, Cristi, Miguel, Steve, JP, Milan, Francisco, Nuno, Tom, JP, etc, thanx for the patience, it's a pleasure to compete against you guys.
(EDIT: Hard luck to David Brown, I see that you being pushed and bumped by another driver who also doesn't understand the etiquette of driving, resulting in a big off for you, and he carried on driving. Lovely ...)

And that was about the story of my race. Unlapped myself from some of the nGT guys ahead of me, it was all I could do to stay in it, but not nearly enough. My 1 stop strategy became 2, and messed up everything.

It's been July 6th since I've ran an enduro race. Joined at the last minute (Thanks Tim) I was supose to stewart this race.

Went out to Q with a damp track and soft tires and ended up on the pole just squeeking it by 100th or so but come race time I had nothing for Samuel. (sure would like to know how you pit soo FFFFFF'g fast) Pisses me off, in a jealous kind of way! Great pace Sam. Janko....that was fun in the 2nd stint. I ran 3 or 4 fastest lap laps in a row and caught up to Janko. Knowing that he was the championship leader I surley did not want to jepordize that. I was being extra carefull not to tap him. He was driving the wheels off that RS and I was just waited for an opportunity to get by cleanly and was doing good with that. Then GT cars started coming through and separated us quite a bit, then I would catch him back up when another series of GT cars came through. Seemed like that happened 3 or 4 times. Finally I got around him cleanly (I think) and started to inch away bringing it home in 2nd place. Great fun and congrats Janko and Pablo on your championships and also to the teams PSR and SI on yours!

After long time my first race and jubilee 100th :) at R2P, but not so successful for me and Saleen.

Probably I had more contact with other cars then in all previous 99 races :), sometimes I did mistakes (sorry Mario and Barry), sometime I was pushed off or have been involved in crashes :(
Also Steve showed great fair play when let me position back 2 times :) probably where we lost a race with George's 1 stop strategy ;) EDIT: its 2 stops though.
Looks like 1 stop did a good job here, again.

... since early race till the end my pit crew table were all wrong showing me a multiple laps down behind next car, weird bug.

Good work Samuel, you must have done a good pitstop strategy to finish in front of even GT drivers.

All I could battle for was last places of the GT drivers who finished, and I'd like to say good job for Nuno as he has improved a lot as it was hard to battle with him all over the race. He kept on attacking and was really gaining on me. I, on the other hand, seem to be stucked at this level and can't see a way to improve myself.

One last word: I know I may be an early braker but I also have the right to keep my position (specially when I'm not being lapped) and I'd like to be respected, so if you happen to punt me and I manage to save the car and not spin it would be nice to receive a message with apologies at least aftwerwards. Otherwise brake earlier or move to a different line when approaching a turn if you have a slower driver/car (or both) in front of you.

and real gentlemen s on the wheel
i had a very consistent race made 5 or 6 mistakes but was ok
big fight with francisco i was crazy to get him but we manage to defend is position very well. congratulation francisco

I just wish some of the guys racing in the quicker cars would be a bit more patient, i got mauled from the rear and sent into a big uneccasary roll :(

It`s hard enough doing qualy and getting a clean track, without driving in your mirrors for the whole race, a few times i seen so much impatience but luckily each time nothing serious happened, even at the start there was a much slower GT car fighting us NGT cars, which is as dangerous because the driver wasn`t imo ready for the GT`s.

Today made me realise that i need to swap to the faster cars, i`m sick of losing so many places because i`m always in my mirrors crapping myself wondering are they gonna lunge and knock me off, i always give a flash to signal that i`m aware they are there and have already set myself up for being lappped.

Anyway congrats to Janko and Pablo!!
