Valencia Enduro

Since Joco didnt show i decided to take RS and start from back. Was 1st quite fast and opened a nice gap.

Aaron scared me a little with his no-stop tactics when i came out of pits, so i put a few fast laps in at that stage of the race and got back to 1st. Nice one Aaron.

I punted someone during the first lap. I didn't watch the replay yet. Sorry for that. I went to do the drive-thru, but it ended as a pit Stop... My mistake. Screwed my chances of scoring a point here.

Qualified 2nd which was nice, i only use the race setups for qualy so i knew i could be strong in the race...

BUT - Well i`ve just reloaded the replay from the beginning from an incident between me and Adrian :( i feel so crap atm :( i got on the inside of him at turn 1 and tried to leave as much room as possible and from my cockpit view and the replay i did but somehow we connected ( as you`ll see there is about 12" between us) :( that was it ruined for both of us :( well decided to do a drive through as it`s mandatory even tho there wasn`t a touch technically :(

Came out dead last with a lot of work to do, pushed as musc as i could and had all things to cope with - leaders quickly gaining on me now catching the tail of the grid and battling for position loads of momemts where aother cars had spins and groups of cars all trying to race whilst the GT`s were lapping had a car freeze infront of me (think it was Adam) that led to me having to swerve and took to the gravel, had a moment with Claudio whilst i was trying to pass, lost a braking point in all the madness, too many things to mention really in one post... all this and i ended up in 3rd, it`s the worst feeling taking a driver out even if it happened the way it did, Adrian let me past later on when i caught upto him again - thank you! even though i had ruined your race :(

tbh 3rd is does not feel good, me and Adrian should`ve been fighting for the win, apart from Janko i seemed to be flying and the strategy was perfect..

Such a hard race when it didn`t have to be :(

Good race guys. I was behind Aaron for a bit untill someone did a komikozi on me and almost took me out of the race. Lost 6 positions. I don't understand why someone would do that. I could have been in the top positions but o'well, shit happens.

I'm going to go let some steam off.

Wow thank god I had the cell phone nearby as that calculator came in handy. I had a hard time qualifying as everytime I get on a hot lap I had to give room for a GT car. So I ended up 6th in class.

At the start I almost lost it in front of ol Johnny but saved it in time to make the final corner to start. I spent the first half the race trying everything to past Sergey but everytime I'd get close I do something foolish and lost time on him. So I spent most of the race tracking his porsche and hoping he'd wear his tires out. That was alot of fun and I hated to see you go into the pits.

Then everyone started pitting. I couldnt figure it out because I had so much fuel still so I guess I was the only one who took a full tank and medium hard tires. The tires never got up to temp, but the wear was perfect even though I couldnt get the speed I was getting in practice.

I had plenty of tire. Then I noticed as the time got down to 40 minutes that I may be able take advantage of the pitters and make no stop at all. I started short shifting and drop my pace down to 1.58s as it seem to give me the fuel to finish.

It was nice and relaxed, GT cars blazing by here and there. I watched the leaderboard and saw Janko coming and was no match for his speed so I gave no contest and even if I tried I would have ran out of fuel. Then I get punted by Mario who I gave plenty of room to past. You have no respect for anyone else on the track do you?

Thankfully I got out of the sand and it didnt cost me much. I managed to save enough fuel and had 3 laps left. Then out of nowhere comes David brown closing in fast and ready to engage. Another lap and he would have had me and with some fuel in reserve I opened her up those last few corners to keep him at bay.

Thank god for the fuel mileage and I took full advantage of that because everyone in front of me was blazing fast, and after seeing Janko pit for a while there, I thought I might have my first win coming to me.

Good race guys, and congrats Janko, too bad you didnt miss this race with Jocco thought, lol!

Aaron i noticed you were about 1s per sector slower and pushed you till the end, i was just hoping to get 1 more lap, but that would be greedy after the race i had.

Fuel consumption was way off!! had i put mediums on the front i could have non stopped, still finished with 9litres onboard :O

chose soft/mediums and worked like a dream pity i had that moment with Adrian :(

Ahh...Freezing gods let me down by throwing me a massive "freeze" with 5 minutes to go, was on 7th. Pos. and lost 2 places...I thought I was going to DNF...Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and it did not work, all of the sudden I hear....Crashhhhhhhh!!!! And came back up, sorry if anyone got into me or I was in the way, but I could not do anything and I tried to esc and and it wouldn't let me...Also I had a little door-to-door contact with a fellow member in a Porka...My fault...sorry...I was trying to stay ahead of the other driver behind me...

Would have been enough for a novel this time but lets just say that when things go wrong , they really do go wrong big time sometimes. Wrong decisions one after another , temps were way too low to get the car working properly on my setup.Tried to do a early stop and make it somewhat drivable but ofcourse tires didn't last then.

Once again bumped Ralph , just like the night before and even in a same spot. Wasn't a terminal contact but completely unnecessary again , apologies done by PM already but want to say it publicly also... My sincere apologies Ralph.

Got my share of the contacts too ,but wouldn't be fair to bitch about them after my crappy driving, so i just call it karma...

Some exciting racing anyway on some occasions but unfortunately the handling of the car didn't make it very enjoyable. Lots of close racing with Steve D and several position swaps along the way , Steve was a very fair competitor and i want to say thanks for the fair fights :).

Race to forget , was a roller coaster weekend all in all.
