Nashville 200

Guess I should have practiced pitting more, or at least made a mental note of exactly where pit out was. I got busted for speeding more times in this event than in all my previous seasons of stock cars combined. The 1st time was really my fault. I was in front of Mike Lilly who had Jeff on him. Mike was close enough that I felt the need to give room for the inside line if he had the car to take it. Mike got to the inside, spotter says there's a car inside, I move up a little to give him room, then I hear my spotter say I'm outside of 3 wide! Next thing I know, Mike is piled into my left side, sending me into the wall. Obviously, Jeff got in there too, somehow forcing Mike up, I havent seen the replay. Did we need to go 3 wide there guys?? I got to the pits for repairs, but was now feeling left behind and wanted to get back out quick, forgetting about the speed limit. The next 2 yellows stops, I guess I just was on the throttle at the wrong line at pit out. Was sent to the end of the line every time. I was never in a position to make my lap back. Then at the end, I was hoping for a yellow, but I ran short on fuel and had to pit going another lap down. Not my night. Grats to Mike and the rest of the podium. Going to have to work harder for the next one.

Great racing guys. Qual didnt go well. Spun the car turn 4 on 1st timed lap, hit the wall. Started from the back.
The race: The car felt good all night. I knew that the tires would last an entire fuel run. Was hoping for some long green runs. At first there were a few single car spin cautions. Then we had the long run. Green flag pit stops. Thats they way I like it! Lap 15, got a run on Bob on the inside. He gave room. Then Jeff had a run on me at the same time. Yep, 3 wide. There was nothing I could do but hold the line. I was down as low as I could go. See screenshot. Jeff is a great driver. I dont think he would of attempted that pass if he knew we would be 3 wide. I thought that we cleared Bob before entering the turn. But with 2 cars entering the turn side by side, you take the turn slightly different. I wasnt sure what had happened until I saw the replay. Didnt realize that you hit the wall Bob. I apologize.

needed to practice more for this one. had a good car was just not in tune with setup and had problems. smacked the wall coming out of 4 in the opening laps. self spun a couple times second time i banged up the left front so now i'm yellow all around the car. was a slow leadsled after that. congrats to the podium and mike for the win great green flag runs there for sure
