Pocono 200

Well dang. I got home and it was raining a little bit nothing really major. Skies looked bad though. Anyway came inside and turned everything on. Got teamspeak up and running and was loading arca when the power went out. Just now got power back. I hate I missed this race. OH well see you guys next race.

Anyway I killed that engine by myself but my race was over by that damn second caution.
The worst thing about that caution - I couldn't do anything to avoid hitting that spinning car...

dang great race everybody. i had a great car just got greedy at the end trying to pass Tom on the outside. smacked the wall and flattened the r/f had to pit. lost a lap and then it was over.

Qual: ok

Race: i ran well, Malanga and Dan White were quick all day

At one point during the race i think i restarted after a caution 3rd or 4th, but then got zapped back to 9th....the racing was extreme, cars all over the place, i would of thought a caution was going to come out for sure that lap.....a caution came out a few laps later. Man, that racing had me sweating.

with about 20 to go i was battling with someone for 4th position, the top 3 guys had taken off and i knew if myself and (someone) didn't work together we would never catch them.

i got past the guy and built a 1.5 sec lead over him....but i was still a good 5+ secs behind p1,p2 and p3.

The Pontiac car had some trouble with a few to go and i made it into 3rd

with like 5 or so laps remaining i decided to come into the pits and take 4 new tires and a splash of fuel. When the race got underway i went from 9th to 3rd in 2 laps, i was ever so close to the leading 2, what a pass by Tom Malanga over Jim for the win.

Anyway i felt i had a good car out there

at one point Stan Kelly and myself were P1 and P2.....AUSSIE DOMINATION !!!!

The car was set-up for long runs which we did not get until the end of the race. Stayed out under caution for track position - - probably could have ended up third or fourth but a couple of people got by when I checked up for Stan's spin. Michael got a good run off the last corner but I pinched him low (I don't do that unless it is the last lap or two) and preserved a fifth. And I was using a set-up that Michael had sent me a few months ago.

I want to apologize to Francisco and Stan for being harsh on teamspeak. I was out of line. I am sorry!

I looked at the replay. Stan bumped Francisco and sent him sliding toward the outer wall. I began to slow because I thought Francisco was going to hit the wall and come down across the track. Francisco made a great save, but lost momentum. Stan was far ahead, on the inside. Stan slowed down to allow Francisco to regain his position as I was trying to pass Francisco. I had slow for Stan, which allowed Francisco to pull along side of me. I did not know Francisco was there. I began to move around the outside of Stan and had contact with Francisco. I lost my momentum, allowed Francisco to pass me. Stan was racing me to the next turn and passed me on the entry. I wish that Stan had continued racing after bumping Francisco. Slowing down affected any car that was close and coming. I understand why Stan slowed down. Perhaps next time wait until it is clear to allow a car to regain position.

I want to apologize to Bill Kaiser for contact. I was racing Bob Fay too hard in the corner. I exited the corner too fast. My momentum caused me to move up the track and make contact with your car. I lost control and hit the inner wall. I am sorry for any damage I caused to your car and any positions that you would gained. I paid a price for my mistake because my car was about a second slower per lap for the rest of the race.

imho it was a joke of a race, i saw guys constantly spin others out by hitting them in the lr, and trust me from my view in the back of the field there was plenty to see. Oh you say how did i get there hmmm not to sure..all i know is someone spun my teamate out and collected half the field!!!

I cant believe that race was that bad, hell its pocono plenty wide...guess nobody wanted to heed the advice at the beginning of the race.

Its a shame coz i enjoy racing with this game for the most part but its all the beat and banging like every fricken lap is the last!!!!!

guess maybe ill just go back to iracing.

good god, i mean nobodys perfect and every now then things happen but geeez just relax abit...it was an 80 lap race hell.
another shitty wreakfest ruined another great track to race on, my car was beat to shit after 15 laps.

my fastest lap was like 55:120 and finished 4th...you do the math.

Ted I understand your frustration but I think you may be taking it a bit too far. We have cautions in our races and the are a direct result of someone else's mistake. There will always be mistakes so there will always be cautions.

Don't forget you guys ran more then half the race distance on only a single caution.

wow didnt know pocono wasnt a real track... i personally like it and like trying to get the car right for all 3 different turns. :)
As far as the "oh well attitude"...yes mistakes happen but to tell ya the truth you pretty much should beable to make most of your passes on the straights there not on turn entrys thus spinning everyone and there mother out.

now keep in mind i dnt know any of you personally so im talking purely from a racin point here and these are just my opinions. but you know when alot of the wrecking appeared to come from up front it made me realize why maybe thats why there isnt much new blood in here, just my opinion there and wondering if that may be why.

I had hit the wall in qualify so i started in 9th or so but i had a set that would have run fine up front,running 54.0 - 54.4's so starting the race i thought well its 80 laps ill take it easy and try and work my way up. my thoughts were that of being on my toes when in back hoping not to be taken out back there...well little did i know that it probably would have been worse up front.

Tim its not that im all that pissed but rather more disappointed that it seems to be the old well if i take someone out ill just say "im sorry" and move on to the next and do it again rather than having some patience.

once again just my thoughts. Pocono is plenty wide with plenty of drafting straights to pass on but yet 8 or so cautions.
