Kansas 150

First off so sorry to Bob. I hope I didn't mess you up any. You were on the inside of me and it stepped out on me and I over corrected trying to stay away from you. I hit the wall pretty hard and killed the engine. Also sorry to anyone else that was behind my car. I hit escape expecting it to take me straight to the monitor screen but it popped up that little window asking me what I wanted to do. I fumbled around trying to hit go to monitor (or whatever it is called). I hope no one got messed up in that exchange. I was fully expecting it to just go straight to the monitor screen because it did before during an earlier practice.

Qual was about average for me. Toward the back.

Race was going ok for me. Kinda slow but I was having fun. A couple of nice battles their for a while.

Also congrats to the winner and the rest of the top-5.

Bad race, failed to qualify good, burnt the engine, then tapped wall on one of the first laps, and then blown right front tire and lost 2 laps there. Then just before the second caution I passed another lapped car thus losing chance to get lucky dog for that time.
I lost another one lap during the race and there wasn't any small chance to improve position.

I was starting to doubt that I would finish this race. I got hit hard in the back on the first yellow. I was well pass the accident and well off the throttle, slowing down. No problem, all happy that I did not get collected. The driver behind me was well past the accident. However, he must have thought he was in a shootout. He started racing and ran into the back of me like a sidewinder missle. I went ass over tea kettle. My rear end was highlighted in red. This was only his second stock car race. His first race was a shootout. Go figure! I got to pass alot cars tonight. It seems that this track eats tires on long green runs. I was taking it easy on entry and trying to be smooth coming out. It was working well as I was able to go underneath a lot of cars and make my pass. I was bumped from behind a couple times. I sawed it once, but not the second time. Finally I blew my engine with a brain fart. I was in 3rd gear, intending to shift to 4th. Instead, I shifted to 2nd. Good bye engine, thanks for playing. Damn sequential shifters. I ran 72 laps, of which 69 were good. It was fun!

My big apology for that hit Kurt. I saw accident too but didn't expect you will slow down so hard. I'm sorry again it was lack of my experience in these races and bad judgment of your speed. I get red front from this accident, which was actually repaired in the pits, but my game froze before the end of the caution.

Kansas is one of my bugger tracks with stock cars: compared to last season I was not a complete embarassment, but I already knew in practice that I would have been very lucky to score a top10. Car feels good, just the driver is short of talent on this track for some reason.

Congrats Michael on the win. Sorry my lost connection and resulting last place finish hurt the team points. With every lost connection I get I lose a little enthusiasm for doing this. I don`t know for sure how much I have left. I don`t know what or where the problem is. Is it my computer?Is it my internet connection? Is it race2play`s server? I don`t know. I do this for fun and if it is not fun, well you do the math. I enjoy the friends I`ve made here in stockcars and I stand a better chance at being competitve here than at road racing but when and if I decide that lost connections are outwaying the fun I`m trying to have then I`m pretty much done at that point. I`m dangerously close to that point right now. In my last three races I`ve had two lost connections and that just won`t fly with me.

Sorry Kurt for the nudge on lap 73, it looks like I drifted up just enough to touch you, which caused you to spin.
Then Stan got into me, causing me to spin,then poor Kevin with no place to go got into us both.

Sorry to the guys behind me at the start. For some stupid reason I thought it would be a good idea to try to take the green in first gear. So I spun the tires witch put me in the wall. I worked on the car every pit stop from there and was getting a car that would hold on up from when that plan was ended in a late race caution incident.
Not sure what pisses me off more, my own stupidity for trying to start in 1st or getting hit from behind during a yellow.

Mike V, I know you are new to stock car racing. When there is a yellow, I don't brake hard unless I am avoiding anoher car in front of me. The proper action on a yellow is to lift off the throttle and let the car slow naturally. There is no racing and no hurry to catch the pack. The field is frozen and its time to take a breather. I am just giving you some friendly pointers.

That was a fun race. Lots of great driving and few cautions. Finally a race in which there was no disco or computer problems. Larry, same here bud, 2 out of 3. But to look at the bright side, we each won the race without the disco. That should be incentive to continue.
The last 25 laps were intense. Some pitted on the last caution and a few didnt. I pitted and came out 5th or 6th. From lap 75 to around 85 started to move up thru the field. Trying to save the tires for the last 10. Was in 3rd behind team mates Ted and Matt. They were protecting that bottom line. I fought hard to get around Ted, he didnt give it up easy, nor did I expect him to. But once I was under him he gave room, Thanks for the clean driving Ted. Then I had to get around Matt. Once again, same thing, Thanks for the clean driving. Once I saw 2nd thru 5th racing hard in the mirror all I had to due was not make a mistake. And hoping there would NOT be a caution towards the end. Congrats to Ted and Tom G.
