Mid Ohio Open

I really think you guys should reconsider the S10 classes despite the overall win aspect. Which in any case would be only on a specific track in special circumstances.

These cars are so close in performance that even if you happen to be a bit quicker and you get stuck behind nGT car you are s-rewed. Unless you drive very harshly. But when you don't want to do that then goodbye positions.

The race was OK apart from few incredibly silly moves from some drivers such as reversing back to track after spin etc. Grats race winners!

Tough race. Completely blew it on tire/pit strategy. Had no idea the tires would wear as fast as they did. Got punted, drove badly, tried to stay out of the way. I just don't get along with these cars very well.

firstly . sorry to Ralf with whom I had a nice battle which unfortunately resulted in a touch .. imho it was not a punt but i gladly accept any penalty if the stewards think otherwise

Well I should have joined the G2 boys here lol.

Was nice to have wet qualify weather. Went fine for me and easily got pole. Was unsure what tires to take, but in the end I made the right choice.

Race started off normally(for me at least). Jose has overtaken me soon, but I just couldn't believe the straight-line speed he had. He had absolutely no problem taking Pete's position on the longest straight. He might have as well beaten two Petes there lol, he had that much gap until the late braking line...
I was abit confused about the pit limiter because apparently it's set to 60Mp/h ie. 77Km/h on this track. So I kept it at 60 Km/h just to be sure I didn't do anything wrong. After the stop I was closely behind Pete. He was gradually pushing it away from me and things got really boring. So boring I had to start screwing around and spinned. Didn't really cost me anything. Later I was unsure about fuel, but in the end I finished with 1.1L!!

I'm done calling out incidents and drivers, I just hope we can do more to discourage unsportsman like driving in the upcoming season. GTR2 doesn't do enough on it's own for 'grass pushing' and 'alternative line' racers.

Also have to agree with Johan on the Classes point. Especially on more technical tracks such as Mid-Ohio where curbing isn't helpful (as racing should be, IMHO).

Paul, "calling out" other drivers/incidents in post-race discussion will not give you the results you want. If you had an issue, please use the proper protest procedure... it works wonders and is the only proper way to inform the Stewards of policy violations.

Eager to obtain a good result I started off pushing hard and in the L1 T3 I’ve been too aggressive trying to overtake Paul and we had a side by side contact which throw him in the air (again my apologies for that). I accept with no comment to be penalized if there will be a protest against me.
Finally my computer (brain) messed up the figures and pitstop strategy was a fiasco so the result wasn't good at all.

Exactly Tim, reporting won't change my results either, I must make those results on my own. Just letting (edit;) everyone know I'm done whining.

Still no results? Seems like the stewards have taken that one driver "tech-inspect" pretty damn seriously
