pretty hard race ..
got a decent start .. but then came the braking for les combe
was right on marios rear bumber so I lifted to make a space and braked when mario did but unfortunately he braked too late and so was I ..

Bad start, sqeezed through the cars from Les Combes, and then followed Gregg some laps till he made a mistake in Bus Stop and I passed him, after that I kept spinning my Saleen when I almost caught the guys in front of me. Again gaining seconds then spinning again. Strage how I lost it 4 or 5 times in Les Combes. Had to make the second pit after I lost my front bumper and bonnet so that was that. Ah did I mention a crappy quali with no fast lap at all? Jeez.

Got caught up through Eau Rouge at the start avoiding Mario, that allowed Conduruta through, he battled Mario into Les Combes and they both went off. Mario's car span back onto the track and I had no time to react before ploughing into him. That left me damaged for the first stint but my pace was ok.
Mark was just in front and Brian just behind throughout the first stint, I didn't take tyres at the stop and got the jump on Brian. Mark didn't re-appear after the stops, I assume he had a problem in the pits, so I moved into 4th.
The tyres held out fine and I was happy to bring it home in 4th, especially after the dodgy start.
Grats to Claus, Sam and Heinz.

Was only logical most of the Masters runners were saving the ferarri (one of them atleast) for china!! and it showed today :)

Set my PB in quali and was looking forward to this race. Mario pulled a blinder of a Quali lap, and Claus not far off. But before going to grid i found myself in 4th with Aaron in 3rd. He quit and still left me in 4th, with a really beautiful open grid space for Sam to charge down into at the start.

The lights went green and Sam took off like a rocket, but Mario had a real ugly start, Sam scraped between mario and myself and i got passed aswell before Eau Rouge.

I then had an 8 lap battle with Sam with 1 pass each for position (2nd) which were both really clean and well battled. Then Into the bus stop the car snapped on me downshifting into 2nd, and i slid sideways down the grass on the side, missing sam thank goodness, but stranglely when the car connected with the tarmac area, i got flipped over.. nice!!

Lucky no damage, and rejoined 5 seconds or so behind sam.
I started a really hardcore persuit becuase i knew i was just slightly faster i would be able to have atleast caught him by the end of the race for a final battle.
Before pitstops i had brought the gap down to 3.5 seconds, but with regret, i opted for using the same set of tyres, which ruined all chance of that race, and after Sam caught up to me with his new set of boots, I wasnt going to do anything more than keep 3rd, so watched my laptimes drop badly and brought it home for a podium.

I was looking forward to this event, blocked off some time, had a pretty good race car. Anyway....

Qual, I never got a flying lap in thanks to a certain driver that took it on himself to ensure I didn't. I have no idea why -- when said driver went off track (obviously messed up their lap), he comes flying back on and then proceeds to race me to the next corner??? What's up with that? Not sporting at all.

So I start pretty close to last, get a good start make it to the long straight, knowing my brakes/tires are cold I go into Les Combes carefully, but see a driver flying in way too hot on my right side so try to give as much room as I could but he hammers me and sends me flying across the grass, which in turns gets me a stop and go penalty -- at this point I was in no mood to finish a race after I've only done a quarter of a lap with a damaged car and a pending stop and go. Just NOT fun. So I bailed. Got on my bicycle and road 30 miles with a 3000 foot climb.

That sucked, the game frooze and when I tried to get back in I got stuck in warm up mode. Had to reset the pc, and lost my system registry, no safe mode or anything so I had to do a complete format.

What a bad weekend.

Fine race , best of the week for me definitely.Had a good setup from CJ , which i slightly modified to suit my needs.

In qualifying i didn't get all out from the car or myself , but the start went perfect and jumped from 4rd to 2nd before Eau-Rouge.
CJ jumped into lead so it was a good start from the team , i had some close racing with Heinz on the 1st stint and we swapped positions few times , racing was hard but respectful so it was a pleasure to race with him 8).

Both were pushing hard and on some point Heinz had some small problems which opened the gap a bit , but soon Heinz was closing in again , slowly but surely. I hadn't decided if i take new tires or not but when i saw that Heinz was eating the gap away, i decided to use the advantage while i still had it and opted for new tires and some fuel.

Had a pretty fast stop but soon figured out that Heinz didn't take the tires on his stop , i was a bit worried first but soon the new tires warmed up and the gap to Heinz dropped rapidly. With the worn tires Heinz couldn't keep the position and with the relatively fresh tires i could extend the gap , finishing up in 2nd position.

Excellent result for the team and a fine race with some good battles with Heinz , thx for the race and congratulations to CJ and Heinz for the podiums. Great run from CJ , untouchable.. 8)
