great race everyone. i had a couple little accidents which required me to pit (well one did. the other made my normal pitstop longer to fix the damage). while i was following cotton i saw his accident...brutal. glad to see you finished the race. congrats Jon on finishing the race and winning!

Grats Jon and John. I tried to give as much room as I possibly could to the championship contenders. I mentioned this in practice, but I dont think Emilio was there to hear bacause he would race me so hard, just to get let by at the 1st safest spot on the track. After a few times letting him by, he got the hint that I wasnt going to fight any of the contenders for position. But almost everytime, he'd get a bit up the road and lose it, and we'd go through the motion all over again, at least a half a dozen times LOL

Good Race. Congrats Jon on the win and John on the championship! Good job all SI drivers with the championship, and nice job OG with the 4th place finish!

I Qed nicely and started off well. But spun myself going wide on t1, back to 7th. Passed a few spinners and thanks to some dnf's and damge I finished very well. I had a few self spins coming out of the final corner and also one after t2. So quite a bit of time lost or I might have been really close to the front. Had some nice laps in the middle of the race keeping JW at bay.

I doubt I'll race the whole CCWS next season but I'm sure I'll end up in a few races.

Qualifying was awful for me, after being held up on every one of my timed laps I decided to pit and try for another run on what would hopefully be a quieter track. As it turned out, I dropped it in the pit lane entrance and had to sit the rest of the session out. Bugger, I think it was my worst Q performance in a CCWS car to date.

Race start was ok, I knew that this race would be more a case of who can keep it pointing forwards for the longest rather than who had the most outright speed and seeing as I have a penchant for chucking it off the road I decided to take it easy! After starting in 10th I made it up to 5th after a few laps. I also saw Daniel's spectacular flip in my mirrors!

I have to make an apology to Steve Brunell, we were battling in the early laps and I took a couple of little nibbles at him here and there. Of particular note was an overtaking move made at T2 where we entered side-by-side but I hit a bump and locked up the inside wheel, causing me to slide into him. This pitched us both into a spin. A couple of laps later I was following him into T4 and clipped his rear wheel mid-corner. I decided that I had better take a drive through penalty after that particular incident. Unfortunately, Steve had slid wide and hit the wall later in the lap. He retired shortly afterwards.

The rest of the race was entirely a case of trying to make as few mistakes as possible and just bring it home. I was catching Ryan at about a second a lap until I got within a second of him. At that point my tyres were toast and I was just trying to keep him in sight. We came up on lapped traffic and I decided to pit early to try and get a jump on him. I couldn't quite pull it off and he came back out of the pits at about the same gap as we were before. We had some fun trading positions for a while but then I managed to eek out a small gap to him.

After the second stop I had somehow managed to wind up in 2nd, no idea how! I guess JB and RA must have run into lapped traffic or had an accident. This just left me and Jan Larson at the front with a gap that seemed to increase by about 0.1 in his favour every lap. I had just about convinced myself to back off and take 2nd when to my suprise I came over the crest at T5 and saw Jan in the boonies. With a 30second or so lead over Ryan I was convinced that something just HAD to go wrong so I backed right off and short shifted all the way home.

Grats to JB on the championship and SI on the team trophy, you guys have been unstoppable this season it would seem! I hope to be a championship contender next season if I can get the consistency and speed to work together. Anyone fancy joining Quickmusik.com Racing Team to have a crack at the team title?

First of all: Sorry for all trouble I might have caused on lap 8 of the race. My videocard decided to freeze and only recovered about 20 seconds later. When it finally did I found myself 3 corners further down the track without any damage :O

Well, after the events described above I though I might atually be able to finish the race in a good position like that so I was pretty happy. But then a (don't know for sure as the HUD was kind of messed up as well) yellow flag was displayed my display problems got even worst. Triangles running down the screen and the parts that weren't covered by triangles were all filled with bright, 8-bit colours.

I waited for a while on the grass after turn 1 but it didn't get any better so I decided to reset my computer and accept the DNF.

Congrats to John and Scuderia Internazionale on the championship win. See you next season!

Fairly annoying it happened with less than 10 mins to go, though.

I was very lucky to end in 4th... wasn't expecting much after a short practice session the night before, first time around this nice track. Anyway I had some early mistakes in this race and had to fight back from 11th position, but luckily for me the rest of the field was making more errors than me, so in the end I was fighting with myself for 4th position, as I now realize.. Fay just wanted me to go bye him every time I catch up with him (then went off track... then back on him)... haha what a crappy consistency from my part. Sorry Bob if I made you nuts LOL.

NP Emilio. Give yourself some credit though. I wasnt trying to let you catch me, you were just plain faster. I just made a decision at the beginning that I would do my best to not hold up anyone running for the top spots in the championship if they were faster than me. Hope I was able to accomodate.
