GTC-East Hockenheim

Well, my luck just won't improve. First, I could not get a qual lap as good as my race laps. Then, as the server changed to race, I thought something was different but I couldn't put my finger on it. When I joined the grid, I realized my wheel was dead. I managed to pull off the track and withdrew. What a bummer. I hope I didn't cause any mayhem on the start for those behind me.

On a brighter note, I did learn something new about shock settings! Kent, I hope you appreciate that I didn't leave the race even though I never even crossed the start line :)

Nice! an eventful race for me. I was forced to ram a backmarker, as he practically slammed on his brakes on t1, probably trying to let me by, but he was on the corner already. I got a puncture on the front left and managed to make it to the pits, losing a lot of time. ended up 4th, with fastest lap of the race! It was nice, i was flat out all race!!!

also, great job by everyone! the blue flags worked very well, no problems whatsoever, except that unfortunate incident

well I didn't think it could go worse than last night but it did.
Pole again, Holeshot again, 2+ sec lead going into the pits. Slick 23 sec stop back out and Im in a sea of traffic, got by a couple and then coming back into stadium in the fast left the next guy surprised me with his braking and I bumped him on the inside. I lifted to keep tight and BAM got nailed hard from behind knocking me into the gravel, knocking my wing off and flat RR tire. Stumbled back to pits 3 laps down. came out in dead last and made it back up to 14th, tires from lap 14 so they were complete toast for last 10 laps.

I think I got very lucky but I will take a 3rd place against this group of drivers anytime...

I qualified 5th and got a decent start and was up to 4th thanks to Tolga and bobby running off line into T2. I moved to 3rd a couple of laps later as Kent went a little wide on the turn before the stadium. I was then holding up a Bobby and Grecian when Bobby collected a lapped car. After the first stops were complete I was running 2nd but I knew Grecian was on the double stop strategy and after my 2nd stop I was over 9 seconds behind. I managed to take off a few tenths occasionally but he made them right back up so I settled in to finish 3rd. I then stuffed it into a T4 tire barrier costing me 13 seconds but was lucky to be 40 seconds ahead of 4th.

All in all a great result for me and this time I just might learn to leave a good car alone. I moved 3rd gear one click up and with my heavy fuel load I was bogging in all my 3rd gear corners...lesson learned...

Chip...Awesome job when being lapped, you made it perfectly easy to get by you without either of us losing any real time. You should teach a class!

On first lap, if I remember correctly, could've been second, coming around MobilKurve, somebody was re-entering the track incorrectly and I hit him, we both went off. Sorry, but you didn't re-enter correctly, or watch for the traffic. Then some laps later, the same corner, repeat incident except this time I managed to avoid hitting the re-entering driver. My race was mostly trading positions 16 - 19 with a couple guys. My radio guy warned me "tires worn, take it easy" 3 times during the race. I was running soft/med, and it was usually the mediums that were worn.

Good race, and a nice length. Just got home from work and made it into the field at the last minute, so I missed qualifying (once again) and was clueless about pit strategy - ended up taking four tires and about 18 laps fuel at both stops. Duhhh... Still managed to scrape a fun drive out of it though, and it was nice to see the clean driving out there. Look forward to more of these!

Well that was brutal! Some mighty unsportsman like driving that I suffered from.

Qual was dismal again, usually is when I rush home from work just in time for qual. I started 4th.

Got a screaming start passing Bobby and Tolga into T1. Settled into 2nd with Tolga chasing me hard. My driving was sloppy and Darin got away a little. I started getting a little breather from Tolga and Richard and was making up some ground on Darin when I has a slip at the sector 2 line and brushed the wall saving it. This allowed Tolga and Richard to get by. Bobby almost got me too but it would have been dangerous for that pass and he opted not to. Spent the next five laps chasing down Richard and finally got a good run on him going into T2. This is when it got ugly (sreen shot) I passed Richard on the inside leaving a bad angle for myself exiting the corner which would have been fine if it was just Richard. But the car behind us decided to chop off the corner completely and run into Richard. This sent Richard flying into my rear end and I spun into the wall losing a wheel and front body work. Of course they both escaped unhampered. I don't blame Richard for this accident but the other guy should be spoken with.

I limped around to the pits, got my repairs and proceded on from 16th postition. Somehow the crew fixed everything and I was able to drive the car as if nothing happened. I worked my way back up to 5th before my second stop. Wouldn't you know it, the 4th palce car pitted right in front of me. In my excitement to get out ahead of him I drove right into his car and stalled it DOH! Sorry that was just bonehead on my part.

After the others pitted I was 3 seconds from 4th (Bobby) but I made the mistake of taking only rear tires and the car drove horribly. I settled in and took my 5th place finish.

Grats to Tolga on the win.

Good racing, i nearly had that one but my tires didn't agree. I'm always a great racer although abit disappointing qualifier but i just love the race environment.

Started 8th, kept a mature and sensible drive as always and just looked after tires as much as possible staying within sight of front guys.

Was surprised to get tires worn msg 3/4 through 1st stint as i usually drive against top class drivers elsewhere on 1X tire setting for 40 minutes on soft fronts with no warnings but i learnt something in this race.

After all stops worked themselves out i was 4 secs in front of Tolga but he had fresh rubber so i knew where i could keep him behind quite easily but i guess he was too desperate for the win and a previous race he contacted me and nearly again this one with late stabs down the inside so coz at the time he was faster i just let him by and finished 2nd.

Good driving by some guys but other front runners are just to "wild", smoking wheels almost every corner and being too risky through traffic as it was pretty obvious you had to be very cautious. An incident with Bobby and some other guy, i predicated something was gonna happen and it did into T1...i think Bobby was too close to the guy at that speed so he had no time to react..which is the faster drivers responsibility to be extra cautious.

So i guess that 2nd place was more due to sensible driving :D
