VvC: Valencia

First time out in these cars and these are great fun to drive.

Got a decent lap in in quali which got me 10th, which i was pleased about as i had only done about 10 laps practice shortly before quali.

Got up to 8th after the 1st lap, i settled down behind heinz but after a few laps i just couldnt keep with him and he slowly but surely edged away. Was feeling quite comfortable with my pace but then made a slight error and ran wide allowing 3 cars past. Kept making places back but with another 2 half spins i threw them away again and finished 11th.

great fun, wish i had checked this series out earlier!

Wow ... an absolutely thrilling and exciting and awesome and hard work race, i havent had one of these in ages .. boy o boy! what a race

I hit some Pb's just before quali, but was unable to hit the same time in Quali, so I started 8th, and a whole gaggle of big names infront of me for this one, and the times showed it.

Barry had a slow start so i was able to jump to 7th up to T1, and from the're i proceeded to hunt down Mark. I wasnt sure if i could get passed anyone infront of me, because our pace was all very similiar.
Oppertunity came a few laps in when i was tucked up behind mark and he outbraked into T4 and i was able to capitolise. With mark now behind me, it made me push harder and was able to catch Sam and maciej and joco, but just couldnt get close enough to pressure sam, but Mark was on my tail all the time pressuring me.

Maciej was the first to fall, and this made it a 4 car battle behind claus and pablo a few seconds up the road.

Was suprised when we approached waved flags ahead and noticed CJ recovering and pablo pulling away, instantly i could feel my adrenaline kick in at the prospect of a podium fight again, we were all that close, and everyone was now pushing harder than before trying to make the best of the oppertunity.

Mark caught me out of T1 becuase i got into 2nd by mistake, and we had a 4 corner side by side battle up to T4, but i was lucky enough to have the inside again, and ws able to sneak out ahead, but AWESOME racing this was up to this point, and Joco was also battling infront of me...

Then Joco tagged Claus, and was hoping Joco would do the right thing being his first event, and taking out the championship leader woould slow down to give the position back, but was suprised when he carried on ...

Was bumper to bumper all race long, and I'm Thrilled! to come home with 4th...

Awesome pace from CJ and Sam and Mark in the vipers, could have been the first viper win (was it conroversial, i dont know) makes it 4/4 so far, 2 to go

It was a good grid here today something like 2s from front to back, looks like this series is attracting the big boys too :) top 10 was a lockout!!

I had a reasonable pace in free practice, then i made a few changes before qualy and seemed to drop back.

Qualified a very disapointing 14th, but on pace i couldn`t have done better, so with the big boys infront 14th was all i was good for :P

Race start had a car stall and someone ploughed into it with bits flying everywhere got past another car by T1 just followed the top 10 around and just pushed but didn`t quite hols the speed to challenge anyone in front, then Brian had an off and i was gifted 9th and from there just fought a very slippy Viper until the flag, had a few cars get close but i just managed to hold them off...started 14th and finished 9th so can`t really complain.

Claus, my english is bad and I didn't understand what you said in the chat, but I think you are angry. Ok, I said sorry because I bumped you two times but in both i wait for you and let you pass, you didn't lose any position and keep leading the race.
Both bumps was my fault, but in both turns you lose the apex and made a late outside to inside movement and I was surprised by your low speed in this point... I'm was trying to exit the corner next to you, not trying to overtake.
And when you went at sand, was only your fault...

anyway was funny to drive all race to less than one second at your back

Well, I maybe loose the apex but only by a few inches, but that doesn't change the fact that both times you came from waaay behind and just dived into me like i wasn't even there in a gap that certainly wasnt there.
It doesn't really matter if you are a bit faster in a slow turn aslong as theres a car there you need to adjust your speed and show patience which you clearly didn't. I don't get it really since there was still 10 laps so plenty of time to setup an attack. But go ahead and enjoy the win if that's how you feel it should be done.
I did get passed once by a bit optimistic move in the last turn but luckily saw that coming and went in a little deeper, got a good run on the strait and forced the car in front to go defensive, then another good run out of T1, up alongside and faked an attack and he fell for it.

Didn't really matter that I was waited for, since after the bumps the car wasn't handling well anylonger with destroyed tires and couldnt keep the speed, so basically was a sitting duck, and I went slightly off in T1 as a result of that.

Last lap again abit out of shape and as I recovered and went for T5 I knew I was in trouble since Joco was strait behind and as expected...baaam 3rd spin of the day and dropped to 6th, bit surprised he didn't wait, but guess a good finish was more important to him huh.

Overall not the best result since the car had to speed to defend the lead at the places where you can realistically overtake if the tires hadn't been destroyed by those spins.

well i had no practise for this event until maybe 30-45 mins before quali so didnt expect much tbh. Quali went as well as i expected although i was some way off my pb from practise. So i qualified 16th.
Race i got away pretty well and gained a couple of places due to an incident on s/f line with a couple of cars. Lost 1 place a few laps after that to Miguel then i just settled down for the rest of the race thinking oh well no practise i'm not doin to bad until about 3 or 4 laps to the end i come up behind Kinloch Van Der Spuy already a lap down i get past him then make a little error which allows him back passed and after that i never seen a car hold the driving line as much as he did no need when a lap down his screen must have been full of blue flags. Eventually pass him again but out of anger made a stupid error flooring it out of turn 4 and spin the car only for him to plough into me and send my car into a barrel roll anyway car was damaged pretty badly now so just tried to get to the end which i did in P14.

Anyway another race to forget and onto Jiading with the Elise :)

One driver penalized 30 seconds for repeatedly punting the same driver. It is the "repeatedly" that warrants this penalty, please learn from your FIRST mistake.

Another driver penalized a few positions for a final lap punt in which he gained position. I will not allow an advantage gained for any last lap punts.

That changes things in the points a little.
