Huge apology again to Kent for turning him in T1. Wasn't even trying to get underneath; I was planning to tuck in behind and just plain misjudged the distance when he turned in. Only got it wrong by maybe a meter, but it sent the whole race south for us both. Truth is I really had no business being that far up the grid; wasn't ready for this one and it showed in my mistakes. Dammit...

At least no one seemed to come out of it with any real damage, so that was good. Mortified as I was, I nearly bailed right then and there, but decided the thing to do was soldier on. Figured I'd just drive around and attempt to be a competent lapper and not cause any more messes. Screwed that up too by getting a speeding violation serving my drive-through. Once again, thought I was going way slow on entry but misjudged it. Suppose when your competence checks out, it's just... gone!

Congrats to the podium and the series champs, and one final apology to my mates at UK-NL for blowing any shot we had in the G2 team standings.

Wild race. Practiced with the Seat and BMW and ended up going with the BMW just because it was more stable for me.

Somehow I got lucky and got the pole but it was very close among the top 4.

Thought I got a great start and was clear by at least an entire car so I wasn't very cautious with turnin. Turns out Steve was there, sorry Steve but I take as much of the blame on that one as you do. I spun to 90 degrees to the track and just waited for everyone to go by. Unluckily I think the last 3 cars coming someone T Boned me and I was more or less stuck in the trap for a while.

Rejoined and set off to get as good a result as I could. Lap 2 or 3 was passing GT3 cars when I came up behind Mark, next thing I know his car starts warping badly, I must of ran into him 3 times on the back straight, then in the final corner his car was stopped and we had big contact. Less than a minute later Tim asked him to park it so he must have been lagging bad.

Made my way to 6th by the stops and I thought about taking no tires but I was already losing a lot of time and figured whatever I might gain would surely be lost so I went with 4 new shoes.

After the stops the only passing I did was a lot of GT3's and then Erickson for 5th. Late in the race Garry had some kind of issue and I saw him parked on the side of the road handing me 4th.

Hard to say how the race would have gone without T1 issues but since GTNDC still got the team championship I am happy, thanks Tristan and great race in the BisexualTurbo.

I thought I had a decent chance to win the G3 title when I saw Garret do a drive thru on lap 2, but that all ended with the open server like driving of Mr. Pearson. He just didn't like being passed so he would over drive the corners & take me off my line twice & spin me on lap 4, Thanks!

That was a wild race!

I had been practicing with the Toledo and had low qual and race times, but that car took more energy to drive than I was willing to give for 45 mins on a Friday night after a long week of work. I backed out, rejoined with the Bisexual and instantly regained some muscle strength... the 996tt was much easier to drive, if just a bit slower than the Seat here.

I was happy with qual, less than a tenth between several of us up there, but I bogged off the line and didn't get near kent or Steve for T1. They barely touched and I was forced outside of Kent onto the grass. I watched the replay later and saw I uninetentionally pinched Steve between Kent and I... sorry Steve!! I feel bad for you considering your poor luck recently... but keep your head up man. You're always so encouraging to me and to other drivers with your bright attitude and respectful driving (bloody fast driving is what it really is!) Everybody gets a string of shitty races now and again...

After T1 L1, I was in 6th or 7th I think and worked hard to try and not lose ground to Barry and Jose up front. Barrett Erickson gave me a great fight which I loved. He didn't give any room to me as I struggled to find a way past. I might've been a little bit faster, but his defenses were superb and it wasn't until lap 5 or 6 I think when I got a good enough run out of the chicane to let my bisexual turbos do the work for me down the front straight into T1. Great stuff Barrett...

Looking back at the replay, Jose must have had no rear wing on his car or something. He would pull on Barry HARD down every bit of straight. He and Bar went at it for a while, and I nearly caught up by the time they both ducked in for fuel and tires. I went extra long on my first stint to have some clear road ahead before I came into the pits, and this seemed to help, as I exited pit lane 10 seconds up on Jose. I kept my head about me and managed to maintain that gap until the finish.

Alright race, couldn't come near my practice best in the elise of 1:11. I figured I could make it non-stop if I was conservative enough and I sure did, despite ending up off track 8 to 10 times. If I could have averaged 1:14 per lap for 45:00 I *might* have done much better.

It's come to my attention that I have a POS G25 throttle. Huge deadzone til about 1/3 where it jumps - to about 1/3rd throttle. Seemingly related to my inability to maintain speed and stability in turn. I'll see what I can do to get it fixed. Rather pissed that I've been racing this whole time thinking I just sucked that bad that I couldn't run clean consistent laps on the race line.

Thanks Tristan (& Kent!), but that little debacle's all mine. First thing I did after the race was look at the replay from a few angles, then fire up Motec. And it confirmed my take at the time; I just didn't leave enough room. I'd braked heavily into T1, then backed out to about 15% braking to let the car settle when Kent looked clear. He had the corner and I intended to tuck in just behind when he turned in, but was a wee bit too far up and even though my braking went back up to 95% trying to avoid contact, it wasn't enough. I suppose Kent could maybe have left a bit more room inside, but I was really the guy in the best position to keep that from happening and just didn't get it done. New sheetmetal's on me!

Well that is honorable Steve but lets just leave it at a racing incident. Also know that had I even a clue you were there you would have had more than enough room. It's that damned Turbo, it is so quiet I never knew you were there LOL

Fair enough, Kent; still think the insurance adjusters would pin that one on me. But you're right about the Porsche; every time I get in the thing I start looking for the volume control. ;-)
