CT Racing presents E21: Russian Ring

Dropped from race as we got the green flag.. Disappointing to lose the lead of the series to a disco. Anyway good win again Tristian!

Sorry to here that Jarrod. Got trapped behind you. 4th to 8th. by T1.

Dang sorry Kevin. Was hoping nobody was harmed by it.

After practicing on the wrong track for a week, I was surprised to qualy as well as I did here.

I got an excellent start when the two cars in front of bogged down bad. I found myself in 4th heading into T1 behind my teammate Barry. We were nose-to-tail for quite a few laps when Barry slipped coming out of the last turn and I took over 3rd.
I developed a really bad cramp in my left leg about 7 laps in. It was becoming very difficult to brake consistantly and, to avoid any scrums, I let Barry back by. Good thing I did as I was concentrating on stretching my cramp out when I downshifted instead of upshifting and spun coming out of T1. I lost a spot to Franscesco. I battle him for 3 or 4 laps trying to get 4th back. I finally got around him and eased my way to the finish.

2nd race for me in this series and had a whole hour of practice just acouple hours before this race and have never raced on this track before so I was'nt expecting much.

I Q'd 12th a little dissapointed as it was nearly a second off my PB had a good start made it upto 8th at 1 point got punted from behind and sent off the track by someone using me as their brake managed to hold on and fight back and took immense glee as the person who punted me eventually went off and crashed.

I made some contact with another driver into one of the last turns I braked but they seemed to slow up alot and nothing I could do so I apologise for that it was unintentional.

I was short on fuel by about a litre and slowed my pace to conserve fuel by short shifting not sure if that helped and gave up a spot so I could get lapped to finish without having to pit or run out of fuel.

Qualifyed in the 4th slot and had a good start but was held up a bit so had to settle for 3rd. My team mate Garret was right on my tail for the few laps and got a little sideways onto the straitaway while waiting for the tires to come up to temp. Garret let me back by and finished the race in that posistion all by myself.

Had fun though as I really do like this mod.

Request redefining Track Cutting please.

Did about 200 laps in preparation for the race. I want to qualify for the World Championship. Got where I was turning laps in the mid 1:40s. Turning the best legal laps I could possibly do. Really happy with where I was. Learning just before the race that I may be slow. Watching the replay I learned why.

So this is the question. Do I need to learn to curb hop through tight sets of turns? To be fast. What is the standard at Race2Play?

This is not a attack on the top 2 drivers or anyone else. They were allowed to drive the line they choose to drive.

There were 31 track cuts through turns 2,3 and 4 by the winner of the race. By 2nd place, 18 cut through turns 2,3, and 4, 17 cuts through the turns in the 3rd sector, including leaving the track on exit of a turn.

If the definition of cutting is this, " 4) Two tires must remain within the painted white lines (Marked Course) at all times. Course cutting is considered to be all 4 wheels beyond those lines, and is not allowed. "
If you could explain why are allowed to break this rule. Then I can begin to prepare for the next BMW race, so I know what it takes to score the points I need to qualify for the World Championship.

2nd question. Is the type of line needed to be driven in the World Championship Races? If so, I will begin to prepare. I have qualified for Sport Car.

I have respected the rules here at Race2Play. Now I am a bit confused. Set me straight.

File a protest/complaint if someone violated a policy. The policy is very clear on the definition of cutting or not.
