GT3: Mid Ohio

I've had better ones.

Quali couldnt get a decent lap done.

Race chose wrong tyres :(

Happy with quali as I got a PB and just got in front of David who was only 4 points behind me in the series at the start. He got off the line better though and took 4th from me straight away. Then Pete quickly went by but I was happy to just go my own pace at that point. Pete had a spin a few laps later and I was back in 5th behind David. I knew I couldn't afford to drop back again so I fought hard to keep a gap to Phil behind, but when Pete passed him he came up to me pretty fast and I had to hold him off for the last couple of laps. Hung in there to take 5th and only lose 2 points to David so it worked out ok.
This was a great series, a very hard one but alot of fun with some really close racing.
Congratulations to Claus for the race and series win and GTNDC for the team title.

There was some awful driving in qualy and the race. With the team championship on the line, I was quickly spun in the Keyhole on L1. I had to wait and rejoin near the back.

To add insult to injury, L2 same deal. There was horrible driving by a few along the way.

Someone warped/lagged straight on top of me when I was on the inside of you trying to pass in the last corner. I think it took you into the wall when we connected. Sorry, nothing I could do.

Set a PB in quali but was only good enough for 8th.

Start was pretty hectic, I got right up inside PEte for the top of the hill hairpin, and we both tried to outbrake each other, but since i was on the inside and pushed pete wide i thought as it was side by side, and he didn't look to have gone off track it wasn't a punt and i'd lift to give pete the benefit of the doubt and not take a DT .. i dont know if this was the right thing to do, but i felt good doing it (for the teams championship aswell) the only problem was it let Darren gain a place passed aswell :P

then after i cooked it at T1 on lap 2 a MAMMOTH battle ensued between Darren, Phil and myself for a good few laps, it was on edge driving, really cool. well done to both drivers keeping there heads..
After Pete's spin early on, he was slowly kreeping back waiting to pounce again.

Then as Phil was starting to look bad out of shape, i ended up loosing the car, it just got worse as the tyres overheated and died spin after spin trying to recover...

coasted back to the line just ahead of Garret D.

Grats to all, This was def. a tough series, but the competition was pretty tough all season long. Still dont think after all the races i had got a grip on this GT3 ..

I hoped to get more out of this last race but it wasn't too be. In the qualy the game gave me hard/hard tires which were absolutly the wrong choice and I ended up quite far down the field.

Then for the race I made sure I had the good tires on the car. The start was very good but only for about 4 meters when I realised the people in front of me were a little bit slower of the line and I couldn't avoid a hit. When I wanted to make the drive-tru I missed the pit-entry so I lost time getting back to the line and making my drive-tru on lap 2. Then I came into a decent rhythem and was folowing Ken Jagger for a while and tried to push as hard as I could to get close enough for a overtake but managed to only push myself off the track a few times and lost the rear when downshifting 2 or 3 times.

At the end of the race I noticed my fuel was dropping down very fast and I had to shortshift to save fuel, only to finish 30 seconds from the finishline with an empty fueltank.

By the sounds of it I de-registered just in time ... :D

Qualy was close, i was only a few hundreths off Darren and 1 tenth off Ari - i put in my PB in qualy with a 1m24.0xx very happy about that and the fact Pete was behind me meant my time must`ve been ok :)

I knew the race would be very tough with having such a strong grid!! got a good start and picked a position up off Darren who i needed to finish at least 2 places ahead in the race to gain 3rd in the drivers champ, and it seemed to be working at the begining when Pete got past, and i was just quick enough to stay ahead until one lap i looked and he wasn`t there anymore :( so Darren was back and keeping a constant 2.0 s gap, i drove a flawless race and considering the guys i was racing i am very pleased with 4th :)
a podium was just out of reach regardless of me pushing. A good end to a very tough series. and eventual 4th in the champ is a good result for me.

I love the sound the looks and the feel of these cars! although 30 mins doesn`t seem to do the series justice, time just flies!

Congrats to Claus again demonstrating amazing speed and consistency and GTNDC for the constructors :)

My first race here R2P was OK. Big situation in T1 which I escaped luckily. Through the race Ken was pushing hard but I managed to keep him behind.
