Got punted in Turn 1 Lap 1 by a driver that had already been turned hard into the inside retaining wall by another car at start/finish, right off the grid. Don't see why that was necessary. Pretty much was fucked right there.

Interesting race. got into 5th after first lap blunders from the guys infront, but wasnt long before i messed that up for myself.

John Mueller .... you were impossible to pass, caused a 5 car train, all changing position behind you instead of getting past you... if i had only gotten past, i'm sure my end result might have been better, caused alot of impatience behind you, felt the wrath of George Pol making a dive up my inside first corner and colliding with me, put me real wide ending up loosing all 4 positions in that train..

Lost concentration after pitstop .. kept lossing positions after spin after spin!

Engine decided to blow on lap 33 right infront of Tolga as i was about to be lapped .. that must have been a sight to see!

Mixed amotions race for me...

Got a nice lap in qualy and was on pole. At start Tolga went flying into P1 from 4th possition and i was able to stay 2nd. Then we were fighting each other and although i was faster, since i probably had better tires when the time got by, i was not able to overtake him. Kent got real close at one point and made a mistake which put him into the back of my car. I spinned there and lost a place to Ari, Kent waited for me. NP there Kent it happens.

It was pit time by that time and ofcorse i lost all the places there again, having 10s slower pit then the fast guys. When i came out of PIT i was 5th. Had a great and sometimes frustrating fight with Nuno, i was quicker but realy it was hard to get by, while the ones infront were opening the gap :(. Finaly i got infornt of him, but then it was +11sec 3rd possition. I knew that place 1-3 would fight among each other giving me a chance to get closer by the lap. Tolga and Kent then decided to give me a BDAY present(i dont know did they bump each other or what, Tolga had no rear wing when i got by him :((() It was 2 laps to go by then and Ari was 3sec infont, and it was too late for me to fill that gap. Maybe next time ;)

Blue flag guys were great had no problem with em, except with the black lambo in lap 44 i think, but that was my mistake just as much as his, and i punted him from behind, i hope he didnt loose control there.

Grats to Ari, and thnx for a good race. Sry for what happened to Tolga :<

First off, let me apologize to Bob. I got him in turn one trying to swing to the inside of him for T1 and clipped him. I'm sorry.

All in all, not the cleanest first lap I have seen at R2P, as I was turned into the pit wall long before anyone started breaking for T1.

Another interesting race.

Qual was a decent time (1:51.9) for me but only 5th in this group, waiting for results to see the times.

I got a decent start behind Nuno and there was some cars darting around and I think Nuno got tapped before we were even to T1. I went inside Nuno and was hugging the line, at T1 my front didn't grip wery well and I drifted out about half acar width and there was some contact with someone. I don't know who cause I never saw another car, but in my mirrors I saw 2-3 cars going off. Tolga and Janko got away clean and after lap 2 they had just over 2 seconds on me in 3rd.

After about 8 laps I was right with them. Janko was clearly faster but he couldn't find a way past Tolga. I started trying some different lines to see where I could gain a opertunity. I saw Tolga and Janko where taking a late apex T7. A few laps later I stuck my nose under Janko in that corner and as we started on the gas he moved down and we touched sending him around. I waited and Ari got by us both and Nuno got by me. I took about a lap to out horsepower by Nuno.

Soon after it was Tolga, Ari Janko and me all running very close. Tolga took to his pit stop a few laps ealry, lap 21 I think. Ari went in the next and then me on lap 24. I came out in 6th about 6 seconds down to Ari and soon found myself in 3rd after other pitted. I was running very similar lap times to Ari but as soon as he caught Tolga I was able to catch them both again.

I had 14 seconds behind me and 1 & 2 right in front of me. Now Ari is really being slowed by Tolga and trying all kinds of moves but Tolga car was very wide :) I was thinking this is getting ugly and slowed a bit to give them room. Janko has taken 7 seconds out of my 14 second buffer by now and I really want to get by these 2. Well with about 7 laps to go Ari spun his tires and almost spun out and I was able to get by. A lap later it was my turn to try and find a way past.

Like Janko and Ari, Tolga was driving defenisvely and I was trying to get a run on him for a corner entry pass. I was a lot faster and was finding it really touch and go almost contact twice in 1 lap. Finally I got by into T3 but I was on the outside and couldn't make it stick. The next lap I got a nice run through the last 2 corners and got right up on Tolgas bumper. As I went to the throttle I hit him and he spun off. :( Now I am sitting on the front straight waiting for him, Ari goes by and I see Janko coming but Tolga is still in the grass, so I moved over and let Janko by too. That's when Tolga ESC :( I cruised the next 2 laps and finished 3rd.

I see Tolga's post race and obviously he is upset as he should be. Surely wasn't my intention to hit him and cause him a DNF and me to loose positions. Sorry Tolga again :( I guess the next time I find myself behind you I will just have to follow you. That way I will not be apologizing to you again.

First ... my apologies to John P for the touch in the chicane. You took that one much slower than I expected and just couldn't avoid you.

Quali was fine, but I really must stop throwing a race away in the first lap. I lost the rear in T2 and went on the grass. That also brought my teamm8 JD into trouble. Got the car back on track but in 17th. Not what I wanted at all. Got passed a few cars until I came up to the JM-train. :-) That was the start of some of the most intense racing I ever did. The train of 4 became a train of 6 with two 550's closing in on us. Heinz got passed Mark and tried to overtake JM. I finally got a good run on Mark on the backstraight and got passed in the next turn. Next on my list was Heinz. I watched the replay Heinz ... and yes I took a lot of speed into T1 and we did touch a bit. But that didn't make you go off and lose more than that one spot. That happend a few turns later when you had an off. Sorry that happend, but it had nothing to do with me. After my stop I was closing in on Bep. At the end of the uphill straight he warped for the 3rd time and this time I felt we touched. That cost me about 12 seconds. After that I didnt have the spirit to try to close the gap again. Got 7th in the end because of Tolga's misfortune. Grats to the podium and thanks to all for a great race.

I don't blame you Tolga for feeling that way after the last 2 races we had.

For what it is worth, all the previous laps beind you and Ari and you and Janko I was losing time in that corner so when I got on the gas and hit you I was surprised that you were not already pulling on me.

As far as patience, well 40 some laps with you in sight watching....then 2 laps to go, car is faster, got a good run....what would you do.

As far as I am concerned the contacts I had were racing incidents.

Of course I would have rather not had any contact and see you finish, unfortunately that's not the way it happened.

Its ok Kent nothing to do now. But i never make a move which can cause trouble even i m faster. Lets forget this incident and keep good feelings to each other :))
