GTX Hockenheim

So sorry guys i had to help a friend of mine move his house. We thought it will last 2 or 3 hours but lasted 8 hours and i missed the race that i like most ://. Hope there werent ppl in waiting list.

Car froze for 6 secs 1/4 way through race..funnily enough it cost me 15 secs to guy in front WTF :(

After pitstops again same thing happens but this time i loose my sound as well lol Cant drive without sound so left the race.

Got back to windows and sound is fine :0 No idea why in game it screwed up.

Sry to anyone who might have had issues with that but i dont think anyone did.

Well... didnt expect much, since i didnt take the usual car...550 was way too fast ;). So last minute i took saleen. I did some lame setup since i dont have any setup ideas... :P And went for a spin 5mins into qual for first time in this car .

I was surprised since i qualified 5th i think, and made a good start and was in 4th for first few laps. Then the things just slowed down for me and saleen, i had no way of holding back Nuno and Ari. Didnt realy put up a fight since they were much quicker. I was driving a few sec. behing Pete by the time the pitting came. I had msg that my tires were worn out and had to pit, was lap 36 i think.

Then i came out and all sortet itself, and was behind Pete, whom i bumped and put onto sand in one of the turn. I realy didnt wanna overtake him like that and i waited for him on the track and let him back past me. We both lost around 20s that lap, but it was OK since the ones in front and back were all FAR FAR away. Sorry for bump Pete. Then we had a nice battle, he made a mistake once and i overtook him, but 6laps before end, i made one, and he got back infront.

So quite OK finish considering i just stepped into saleen 5mins before this race.

Well that was a wasted week :/

Praticed all week, got down to a 1:22:9 without going off the track.
Got to the server early today to practice some more and see guys doing 1:22s running with all four wheels in the run off zone or inside the curves, and think to myself you guys shouldn't be training to go off the track you'll get penalties in the race.
Then comes qualifying didn't watch any other drivers but qualified almost last with a low 1:23.
Then race great first few laps without getting run over or any major accidents cool :) after that notice the lambos behind me running real wide and cutting everywhere they could. I think watch out guys the race marshalls will get you. But no ran the whole race doing my best to keep at least 2 wheels on the track and watching every other driver i saw running deep and wide everywhere they could and no sound from the race marshalls?

If you guys aren't going to enforce your own rules why even have them?

I was hoping that having race marshalls would mean people couldn't cut etc. without getting a penalty, oh well wrong answer.

Nice win but I guess some faster guys were not in the fastest cars so they made it easier for me. Start was nothing special from me but it was still enough to have a clear entry to the first corner. I had almost perfect car, really enjoyed driving it on the limit for the first few laps when I had quite some preassure from behind, especially as he was using the curbs quite heavily in the first corner (I was observing it in my mirrors). I then managed to slowly pull away, I think it was abot 10 seconds when I was about to make a pit stop and that was really important because my Lambo was a bit thurstier than expected + my guys were being very optimistic, telling me to come in next lap. My fuel gauge went to 0 one corner before the pit entry so I just crawl to the pits hearing my engine was about to cut off while I was driving towards my pits with my speed limiter on. I then had to change my fuel strategy and told the guys to fill it up all the way so my pit stop was very long, more then one minute, which was enough for me to almost lose my lead. Again I had to push 100% to pull away and to be able to cruise back to the finish in the last few laps as my lead was more then 10 seconds.

Qualified 3rd in the 575 but was close enough to pole to keep me happy. Got 2nd at the start and for about 10 laps was able to pressure Matjaz. Slowly then Matjaz pulled away but I had a comfortable 2nd. Then the last 5 laps before my pitstop Nuno caught me and put me under some pressure. I the pitted on lap 34, but made a mess of it and came out a net 3rd behind Ari who was 5 seconds ahead. I caught him and for the next 10 laps was tryng to pressure Ari. We had a side my side moment out of turn 2 but Ari had the line into turn 3. I noticed ari was struggling into and out of turn 2 and tried every lap to take advantage of that. I got my chance on lap 56 and got better drive out of turn 2. I was 2nd at that point and just driving not trying to make mistakes and bring it home 2nd as Matjaz was out of reach. I then got a disco on lap 60, robbing me of my 2nd place !!!!

Congrats to Matjaz on the win. I should point out that at one point i said 'Hi M8' during the race. This was an accidnt as a pen dropped off a shelf above the table and dropped onto my keyboard. Sorry for anyone it disturbed.

Sorry to hear that John... I remember almost nailing your car when it froze on the track :-O.

Sorry to miss this one, even though i really don't like this track. spent a lot of time trying to get my times down in the Lambo.

Tried to join the server at about half-way through the practice session. Got to the point where it was loading other's already there. Loaded Tim and i think 2 stewards, maybe another driver or two, then GTR2 crashed to desktop either after loading or while loading the same driver in all of my four or five attempts.

never had any problem joining an R2P event before, and the ping was 77.

in between attempts i rebooted my computer, ran a CHKDSK, and joined another online server running Hock Natl without incident. So i have to suspect the problem was unique to my entry of the R2P server in some way.

i was hoping to view the replay by now to eliminate one theory, but i can't find it posted yet, so i'll ask: were there any non-stock skins in attendance?

not implying this is the cause or pointing any fingers, i just noticed a couple were showing in the screen shots from the GTx USA event and i'm just trying to cover all possibilities before the nGT event tonight. i plan on adding any R2P skins i can find to an otherwise virgin GTR2 install, just in case, but i'm assuming that would mean i might wind up running in someone elses skin.

eeewwww! probably would look good but it doesn't sound very sanitary.

I was able to get into the nGT practice server without problems using a "virgin" install of GTR2, so i'm thinking something must've been corrupted somehow on my end.

Bill, GTR2 is a tough beast to steward. There is no way we can issue penalties without simply chatting, which goes out to all cars and is a huge distraction. Because of this we have to do our GTR2 penalties after the fact, not during.

If you have a specific event(s), you should make sure to bring them up to my attention. You did the right thing and ran YOUR race proper. Dont worry about the other's, they will get what is coming to them eventually.
