rF3: Vanport

Congrats podium and finishers.

This was a hard track to keep the car intact, many spins, crashes, disco's... I managed to go surprisingly smooth for almost all of the race, only a couple of mistakes: went wide in the back fast chicane and almost touched the tires wall (safe), and then defending position from Jens spun and lost my rear wing in the last turn, but Jens did the same and we were both driving a whole lap with no wing till we got to pits at the same time.

Unfortunately I didn't change tires to gain time and it paid in the end: no grip made me loose a nice 7th place that I had gained due to abandons, not because I was faster (but it also caounts, doesn't it?).

Car felt great in practice and was top of the board for a while. Didnt change a thing for Quali and race and it felt pants.

Running in third and spun on a corner that I had no problems with at all before, waited to come back on the track but the curbs got me as I came back on. Alan had nowhere to go and he hit me head on which caused major damage to both cars (sorry Alan)

We both headed for the pits straight away but of course the steering was not fixed. I left the Pit with a new front wing but my wheel was still 20 degrees to the left in order to keep the car in a straight line. Just bloody silly if you ask me that the car is not repaired propely with these cars.

3 DNFs in my last 4 races, pathetic. The amount of finishers tells me that other people had the same issue.

Had only decided to compete in this race a couple days ago & had a blast.Was happy with qualifying securing 3rd on the grid but bogged down off the start & fell back to 6th.From then on fought my way back up to the pointy end & then commenced an absolute epic battle with Sam again for many laps until he had an excursion which handed me a comfortable second place.I then had two offs,the second removing my front wing but luckily was able to get back around to the finish just scraping in with 2nd place..phew.

Qualified 5th which I was happy with since I did just few laps offline ,and didn't have time to perfect setup,jumped on server earlier and had mid 1:08 .In quali I just loaded enough fuel and drove lap after lap till I got PB of 1:07.7 .It's maybe better this way - I didn't spend lot of time on practice - and I doubt I could reach those laptimes as frontrunners.Really quick laps there lads :)
In race - I lost one place on start,but soon enough gained two spots due to spins/accidents of those ahead.Around lap 10 I noticed that brakes weren't "biting" so good so I started to loose some time but had 25 sec gap at the time so no need to worry.Was lucky and always noticed cars that were spun and on track and was able to drive safely past them.In the end again due to misfortune of those ahead,reached podium again.

i apologize 2 all those who i made contact 2 in the last corner. i ran it unorthadox and it go me in trouble. if i got u i apologize. ran a wreck filled race until i got destroyed entering 1 by sum1 o well this was a mulligan

After a lot of work i got a stable setup, not so fast
but easy to drive with all those bumps. Slowly i was
going into top5, thanks to all that spins and incidents.
But romance ended when a fast driver braked against me and
i did the same against the wall.
Entered pits but car was undriveble after fixing almost all
the damage.

Sad sensation with this DNF.

Carlos, I saw your crash from the distance and felt sorry about it because I was getting closer at that time and it would've been fun to do some laps near you. Pity.

I knew it had to end sooner or later, but my run of no DNFs at R2P is over. After thirty-four consecutive races taking the chequered flag, I picked up severe suspension damage in my crash with Dave (see above; thanks for the apology). Pitted for a new wing, but there was no way I was going to able to drive that p.o.s. car for another 35 minutes. With a heavy heart, I retired.

Oh well, nevermind. Next week I'll start all over again. Thirty-four to beat... :)

Grats to all those that survived to the end!

Got a good start but braked early into fisrt corner but i was given pleanty of room thx, kept with Sam until a minor slip he went wide and I nipped through into the lead he kept close for a while but was had his mirrors full so i managed to gap him and I could a good tidy line without worry's mostly good observation of the blue flags nearly ran into the back of someone it looked like they were going left so I went right then they swept right I had backed of a bit so no big drama thanks all

In the first 5-6 laps i did some mistakes so had to pass a few guys. Sorry Carlos, i know, that i caused the collision, i braked much earlier, but not enough early. I'm affraid...
The rest of the race was quite lonely for me, only keeping on track.

That was a really hard track, congrats again.
