Megane:Mid Ohio

Was surprised to get the result I did.
Joined qualifying as it just got underway and straight away knew i was in trouble, my steering wheel calibration had messed up and the wheel was out of line, about 40 degrees to the right, made it quite an adventure. From then on my aim (after qualifying on the back row unsurprisingly) was just to make it to the end.
After the start (my side got held up a bit for some reason) I was dead last, but as people spun and pitted and had adventures of their own, my consistency was reaping its rewards and I crawled up to 6th by the end. It was a fairly lonely race, 30secs behind 5th, 30secs ahead of 7th, and I was worried at every corner my steering problem would cause me to have an off, but good consistency and no errors at all helped me stay in 6th. Oddly my best result of the season when I was very slow and had controller issues...

1st Megane race for me, and I had a great time

in T1. Had a great battle for 3rd with MP, AS, GA for a
while. Great time, very clean Alan.

Second race for me with Megane with R2P.... another third position.... 2 ufo in the first and second position... for we normal people great fight for the third position...

horrible luck for me today. on lap 4 going down the front straight i got some kind of a HP update that made my game shrink so one sec im driving down the straight, next im looking at a HP update screen. because of this i guess i caused a huge crash, very sorry for that by the way., then after getting the screen back up and my car going my force feedback went out of the wheel, and i learned how hard it is to drive a car with no feeling from the wheel at all. several spins latter i managed to bring the car home several laps down.

Wow. Just wow. A fantastic race at a fantastic track, with nose-to-tail racing from start to finish. Had a great battle with Dennis Cummings, Max Piampi and Gerry Aitken for nearly the entire race. Plenty of position changes and clean overtaking. Great stuff. Finished 5th, which I'm happy with. :D

Grats to Barney for his fourth win from four starts. He could tie up the title next time out at Lime Rock Park...

Thanks all great battle with Ali Topley and Dave Robinson at the start I got a horrible start bogged down dropped to 3rd but got back into second thanks to Dave leavng plenty of room great fight sorry you didn't make the finish Dave

as I was let through I went to flash my lights as a thank you and hit the pit limit instead :/ lol poor guy must have thought I was mad and with Ali so close I was hiting all sorts of buttons before it started going again

That explains it all with Brians problem. I was running behind Carlos when he suddenly breaked hard and I crashed into him. I couldn't understand why he was breaking but felt realy bad for crashing into him.

Well, that things happens and it looks like my car took the most damage this time and I was forced to pit. After that I could not break the 1,27 laptimes anymore so it was a bad night for me.

Hi guys

After a lazy start from P7, I spent a couple of laps working my way onto the tail of a 3 way fight for 3rd with Dennis C and Max P ahead. I parked myself here to settle in for about the next half dozen laps. Then battle commenced. Over the next third of the race we all traded places back and forth and it remained a tight and absorbing battle. Eventually I dropped it at about lap 20 whilst trying to hold down P3 and nurfed the tyre wall sustaining damage which effectively ended my race. Congratulations to Max on a well deserved podium, and Dave for making such a good race of it - whilst I finished a distant 9th. This was my first race in the series as at the last round my connection dropped out on lap 1. It was a pleasure to race without fear of being punted off a legitimate defensive line or driven off the road by a crazed backmarker. Thanks to all. Roll on Lime Rock.
