TRM: Magny-Cours

Congrats to podium.

Sorry Mark for that tap at high speed after the back straight that almost made you loose the car, glad you are skillful and saved it.

Qualified 8th and before L1 ended got P5 by that bumper kerb, was keeping my position until Mark came and we had a short but intense fight, then he got P5.

Behind Mark it was Stephen and Nick pushing hard and they pass me right after, but I could keep the pace and gained my P6 back in a thrilling three-driver fight.

Then it was Nick and I in a long fight for position that ended when I went wide in the last chicane and crashed sideways against the wall causing a puncture in my rear left tire, so it took me ages to do one lap to pit and repair because the car spun a few times.

After pitstop & fresh tires I was 10th and had a good pace again, but it was impossible to gain even one position. Sad bitter race for me 'cause I felt I had the pace to fight for P6 with Nick.

Seemed to be some good battles throughout the race, managed my usual 2 laps on a then an off, but had some good racing with Steve N, Francisco and Mark at various points.

Think the "2 wheels inside white lines" was not the best observed rule of the night through the final chicane, but hey, not going to get too fussed about that at this track.

Good win John M, sets up the final couple of races nicely.

Well, I went from hero (a good start into the lead) to zero (falling off the track) within half a lap...

The rest of the race was great fun though, some nice battles on the way and helped by other people falling off track or finding the wall. As Francisco says, we had a slight coming together which sent me into a bit of a tank slapper (no apology necessary); but I was able to hold it.
