rF3: Rouen

woohoo!
thought i was hosed when carson ran a 1.42.something in quali. then he got the jump on me at the start as i had 1st gear set pretty long, managed to keep up through the first lap though and much to my surprise i was able to pass around the outside on the last turn on to the front straight. figured that would be pretty short lived but managed to start pulling a small gap, maybe 2-3 seconds by the end of lap 5 or so. dont know what happened then but the gap jumped to like 13 and continued to grow into a win.
only down side to any of this was that we only had 5 drivers show up and i would have liked the race to have been more hard fought. still looking for that perfect whiteknuckle, wheel to wheel, hair on fire, balls out race. i know its here!

Congratulations Randy, you got the best of me here.
I had a good qualifying for the most part, but I figured that the race would be more difficult.
I had a good start and was overtaken by randy in the final corner, where I didn't anticipate such a daring move.

Got on the backend of randy and was going to make a pass but backed off, deciding not to try to go 2 wide into turn 1 which would of not ended well. From there randy began matching my times and the mistakes started happening. I lost concentration and began forgetting where corners were.
Hit the wall numerous times, and spun a few times, at one point spinning into Mark, who had already spun. :-)

Just goes to show that 3 hours is not enough time to learn and be competitive on a track.

Good race but there is one penalty. But don't worry the penalty will not change any of the results.

It didn't take long before the barriers were demolished. No penalties are issued here.

Pretty average race for me. I think doug it is me who broke the tyre wall couldnt avoid it though. However as you said i think i was a lap up. See u at le mans. congratulations to Randy and best of luck to randy,AC,mike and doug.
