Pro Nuke Forms 200

Hey you guys, good race but I couldn't get my mic to work. Some of you seen my green light after the race but you didn't hear me, I heard you though. I checked to see if my mic was muted and it wasn't. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'll read up on teamspeak some more and go over everthing again but if someone can tell me what to check or do to get my mic to work, I'd appreciate it.

WHAT A RACE!!

First off, I have to offer a public appology to Charles Davis for knocking you out on the last lap. Just the sound of disappoinment in your voice when you said, "Man, I went from 7th to 14th . . ." I felt really bad. But I thought that I had you dead to rights going into T3 . . . I was just waiting for Jim to decide who he was going to draft with when I took you out.
After the race I had to watch the replay 5 or 6 times and it looked like one of them racin' deals to me. . . I dunno, though. The jury's still out--I hope they render an innocent verdict, nevertheless I'll still sorry.

There was an earlier incident involving Bill Kaiser. This one I KNOW I'm innocent. I was 2 cars behind you when you hit the fence and started flipping past me. All Ii know is, I heard something like "X, got into me." I was thinking it wasn't me, it wasn't me, it wasn't me, it wasn't me!

Not a problem, Xavier I thought you were right behind me - no accusatory tones. It was just racing.... I just went high a little and someone tapped me just a bit and I went for a flight. Fun while it lasted.

My plan was to just follow Larry everywhere since he is an oval meister - almost worked out. Welcome to the world of left hand turns, Pete.

Terrific race fellas. Unfortunately I blew up. I'm sure it was something I could have prevented, I'll just have to figure out how.

It was great seeing all the new guys as well as the regulars. I'm very eagerly looking forward to next week at Pocono, hope to see you all there.

I was writing a detailed post and it was turning into a book, so here's my ultra-condensed version.

What an awesome sim.

Turning left and drafting and pit strategy, etc is an incredibly fun style of racing.

What a great group of racers for this stocker n00b to cut his teeth with.

It's clear I have an enormous amount of learning to do, but I'm pleased with how much I learned just last night. I can't wait for more.

Congrats Charles for the pole. After the last R2P 'dega race, there was no way I was going to Q. Nice lap Charles.

Started dead last and once I got to Tom M, we had a ball on that outside line. On the last pit, took 4 fresh tires and added some tape. Worked up to 5th w/ I think about 6Ls to go and was quite happy w/ the circumstances, especially in that none of the other leaders had taken tires. However, the R2P doom struck and someone rear ended me in the tri-oval putting me into the inner wall. I had only breathed off the throttle some because I was about to blast Jim B (I think it was Jim) into the next galaxy. Jim was tight to the car ahead of him and had I kept it matted, I would have either knocked Jim off the track or pinched him into the car ahead. Being a non-regular, I didnt want to jumble your guys' points race in the middle of your season. I guess I should have kept it matted.

Good job guys. Excellent driving on the start and with only one yellow, I thought everyone did a very good job. I was also impressed with some of the new blood. Mr. Hans is excellent, and I thought everyone did a good job of working together. Good luck with the rest of your season. Tim L has put together a nice chapter.

It was great running in the lead pack for a change, thank you Tim for the setup. Too bad about your blown engine, musta been that spin in the pits. :(

Pretty dicey there at the end with nobody wanting to give up that low-line.

That last caution really caught me out, as I wasn't sure I'd have enough gas til the end. I knew I'd have enough if we ran green all the way, but with the added laps. One of them deals I guess...

@Joe: Nice to get my first pole, but a little of a hollow victory without you going for it. I'm sure you would have got me again. ;) Sure wish you'd come on back full-time, the races are better with you.

@Xavier: No problem at all. I wasn't really so disappointed, at least I got to run the whole race this time. Well, all but the last 100 feet. :) After watching the replay, it was definitely a 50/50 deal. When I saw Tom shoot up towards the wall, I eased out of it just a bit and you were right there. We just barely touched, but it was in just the "right" way. Talledega is a 75 lap close call, so when you get caught up in one, it's never a big surprise. The jury's in and we're all innocent. Or guilty. That's Dega. :)

Despite finishing on my roof, I enjoyed the race very much. Probably the best plate race yet and some of the best driving we (as a group) have ever done.

Not at all Charles. You out Qed the field; nothing hollow about it all. You should be proud of it because it was a killer lap.

You're welcome for the push. Though, I *really* misjudged my braking as I closed on you. I did some visible damage when I slammed into your bumper. Thankfully you were only a short distance from the line. Funny that you finished ahead of me too all things considered. :)

As for coming back... oh you bet I will! I love this. While I have a ton to learn about making a faster setup, I'm so relieved to have less track learning to do. That really drained all the fun for me in road racing lately. The learning curve for a new track requires so much practice time. Now, with ovals, I can be pretty sure what to expect after the next straight. ;) So now I can spend more time just getting comfortable on a given track and get in some drafting practice. Setups will come along in time.
