Off road buggy fun-run

There are only a few reason that the simulation will ever DQ a person and you should all know these;

1) Driving the wrong way on track
2) Not serving a penalty within 3 laps
3) Exiting the pits before it is open

Since the first two were not the issue, it was obviously the 3rd reason. The fix to this is press the RACE button within the time allowed so you get to the grid on time. I figured everyone knows where the RACE button is and how to use it. If you do not, please contact me *before* a race so I can help you. I can not help you at the time everyone is on the formation lap.

Chatting during any Race2Play even is not allowed, no matter the reason. If you did not make the grid on time or got yourself DQd for any reason... dont make everyone else have to suffer because of it. There is nothing the Admin can do to help you once you are DQd, so no amount of chatting will be able to help you.

Those big tires on the inside of the track hurt. Note to self... "stay away from those big tires in the future". This was my first DNF in an NASA/R2P event. I'm glad it happened in an exhibition race.

The series looks like it will be a ton of fun. I'm looking forward to joining.

I was under the impression it was a learning of the series and tracks and that it was a bit more informal. I would not of chatted then. I did not see any lights. I know better. Sorry to ruin alls night.

Sorry everyone, I'm such a dumb ass. I was all confused, I didn't know I missed the start:( I don't know what else to say really...won't happen again.

This "Fun-Run" was not so fun. Very disappointed with getting, pretty much, taken out in the first lap.

I think you people know me well enought that i almost never complain or bitch, but tonight sucked.

Well, that was a rough one for me. Traffic was a pain trying to get home in time and rushed in to qualify and no warming up. Wasn't ready for formation/standing and honestly thought we were waiting for the guys in the pit to catch up, thinking it was a rolling start. Doh! The rush home scrambled my brain.

I put in nearly 200 laps last night in prep for this, but oddly wasn't too comfortable at all tonight. I bumped L. Anderson around and into the tires and cruized around until I could let him back. That set us both back quite a bit too. Sorry Larry. A few laps after that I got one of the tire markers and killed my left front, making it difficult to drive. Pulled to left and when I let the throttle up too quickly in a right hander, it would loop on me every time. Oh well. My own fault.

Insanely fun!!! Air and dust feels good. Hopefully I'm a little more relaxed next round.

Grats to David, Dennis and Tim and to CanAm all in the top 5! Cya in the trucks hopefully.

This was excellent, a great experience and I believe a good introduction for my very first race ever. Although it started off and was punctuated with many bumper-car moments, it was still very much fun, thanks to everyone who tolerated me. heh

Well, that was fun.

I think that if you choose to participate in this series you had better have a thick skin. Driving these over jumps and sliding around corners is going to result in more contact and more DNF's.

The above comments are not specific to this event or any comments you guys have made. Just because I had entered this with my usual open wheel, first priority is not to ruin anybody else's race, mentality. And it was too uncomfortable of a mind set.

opinions are like, well, ...I forget... but I will give you mine. This is going to be the most fun series ever! if people don't take winning and DNFs too seriously.

And NO APOLOGIES! You go in with the attitude that you will show absolute respect to you competitors, but no apologies will be accepted, given,or expected after the race. What do u think of that?

(and a 2 heat format would be awesome)

Wish I could have joined you boys, but can't get home from work in time (Garry, my Truck race Thursday will be rushed - I'll just make it for qual if I'm lucky!)

I agree with Clay on the thick skin part. That's part of what makes these things so much fun is getting a little physical, just like the real life buggies/trucks.

I hope we don't have a bunch of cry babies in this series! LoL

I'm not talkin about intentional hits to take someone out, but if we can't run hard against each other because there might be some heavy contact that might effect our position, then I might as well just continue running the more dainty road races then! hehe

I'm more then willing to take my medicine like a true ORR racer if you guys really want to make this a hard charging series.

Luckily managed to get the feel of these trucks just before Q, and enjoyed the entire session quite a bit. The vehicle/track combination was very good.
