What can I say, I suck at these.

First,
My apologies for any troubles I caused last night.
I raced the buggies the night before and did two practice races with these trucks and each race offline I was dropped on the grid, But in the practice race and this truck race I was still in the pits and am confused to why? If anyone knows what I was doing wrong with the trucks, let me know, Address it to mr. bonehead>;O]

Thanks to Tim the race stewart trying to salvage my night and boneheadedness and also for erasing this race from my carreer.

I really missed this race as I love this dirt stuff.

Lets see. I was way off pace with the default and the thing didn't seem to have any forward bite at all (may be the nature of the beast) so I tried a soft spring package with low pressure tires and and as well as the tires bumped up a bit. That didn't work.....so I went with some 300s all the way around and reset the tires to get some even temp across them. That seemed better as far as some consistant times but still slow. During the race I attemped to pick up the pace...in the wrong section of the track and ran over a grader tire and let the smoke out of the engine. I hung around a while and rode with Tristan who amazed me with his ability to get the truck turned before the apex and pick up the throttle early. He seemed to be getting lots of speed and was even clearing the doubles so that he wasn't caseing the bridge doubles. Now I'm not asking for a setup but some advise as to what seems to be best for spring packages. I also messed with the front to rear weight bias. Any Ideas on how to get some more forward bite? ..... or should I just find someone to drive the thing?

Bill, I found Mark's posted setup to work very well. I did modify two things on it to get more rotation when off the throttle: I lowered engine braking to 2%, and also moved more brake bias to the rear... 52/48 I think I used. I did not alter any of Mark's spring or damper rates.

I think most of the time I made on others was in rotating the truck in the air. Getting it lined up at the end of the bridge, and also at the last left hander before the start/finish bumps gained me lots of time. Getting that final corner right, in particular, is what netted me the 1:02s in qualy and the race. Lastly, living dangerously with the inside wheels "curb-riding" close to the concrete tires on turn 1 took off .500 per lap, every time.

LOL with Tristan, Yea I was thinking the same thing as I rode with you "living dangerously" as you hung the front wheel in the ditch. I know those grader tires were very close and unforgiving if you catch one. Also noticed you were getting the truck attitude correct for landing and you had the same line to the finesh line everytime which was just off the track with two wheels on the outside. It was some real nice driving. Thanks for the setup tips.

Atleast my setup was fast in someones hands.. lol I just couldn't find the groove last night, good fun though!

it was a joy to drive for me and was able to qualli well, but my pit delima keeps biting me here. Tim has given me a suggeation and we will see.
